Septa RFW from PHL-Doylestown. Gorgeous day. Narration and many graphics provided. 9/15/23

This video actually turned out pretty good because of the bright sun, and the fact that the sun was behind the train. This is the most detailed ride I have done on the Doylestown Line. All interlockings, railroad crossings, and many overhead/undergrade bridges are identified with graphics in addition to narration. This is undoubtedly my favorite Septa Regional Rail line. (at 12:23 that was the former Logan station site-not Tabor)

Used to ride this line (R5) just about every day 1992-1994, again 1998-1999. Back then it was paper ticket, conductor came through to punch it with odd shapes, walk from car to car calling out the stops. All the names still ring true but the landscape is almost unrecognizable. Thanks for the ride!

Excellent capture! This engineer certainly uses the K3LA horn to it's full potential! I hear these Silverliners come through Ambler all the time, and it's pretty easy to tell who's operating by how they blow the horn.

OMG. I always miss it when you come down here. Next time you come il take you to a great hoagie spot and you can ride the double-end K Cars to get there.

Even though im a Philly native i lived right off the LIRR mainline in Carle Place. So glad they got that 3rd track in.

In RDG days, North Wales had two more crossings! There were crossings at 4th St. as well as Dickerson Rd. (I used to live on 4th St.)

Ah yes, another SL V with a dirty window. They REALLY need to power wash those trains😮
  • Pulling into North Broad, I noticed what appears to be a track, off the mainline to the right, with a piece of M-o-W equipment sitting on it. Behind it I briefly glimpsed what looked to be a brick (former? ) carbarn?
  • @sethtriggs
