Dr. Mark Hyman is leading a health revolution—one revolved around using food as medicine to support longevity, energy, mental clarity, happiness, and so much more.

Dr. Hyman is a practicing family physician and an internationally recognized leader, speaker, educator, and advocate in the field of Functional Medicine. He’s the founder and director of The UltraWellness Center, is the Head of Strategy and Innovation of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, AND is the Board President for Clinical Affairs for The Institute for Functional Medicine.

And somehow, in the midst of all this, he’s a twelve-time New York Times bestselling author and hosts one of the leading health podcasts, The Doctor’s Farmacy. He’s also a regular medical contributor on several television shows and networks, including CBS This Morning, the Today Show, Good Morning America, The View, The Dr. Oz Show, and CNN.

Needless to say, he’s an expert. Dr. Hyman is one of my favorite people to learn from about health because he is so honest about what’s going on. Instead of trying to push his own agenda, he’s got humanity’s best interest at heart.

If you’re wanting to invest in your health, look no further! Join me on Episode 916 with Dr. Mark Hyman to learn how eating the right foods can make you healthier and happier.

I was sitting next to my wife’s grandma who has Alzheimer’s. She was fairly alert and responsive to our conversations. My mother-in-law gave her a Pepsi to drink and by the time grandma finished about a quarter of the drink, she became completely unresponsive and sat quietly with no expression on her face. I observed this but no one else did and I didn’t dare say anything because they wouldn’t have been agreeable to my observation. I still believe her condition could have been improved or even reversed with proper diet.
  • I never fed my children ANY sugar under the age of three and what i have noticed is that they never developed a sweet tooth..start your children on a healthy lifestyle from the get go. You won't regret it.

All of this is caused by selfishness and greed. And let’s stop calling “lobbying” lobbying and call it what it truly is.... BRIBERY!!!!
  • Our hospital has a Starbucks, it really makes me doubt the hospitals commitment to the health of our community.

I overwork at times, dont take breaks, watch screen at late nights and obviously fall sick. Everyone around me is like why don't you see a doctor. What does doctor have to do with this? People are so used to masking their health issues with a doctor and pills, they won't accept they themselves are the problem

I’ve seen this Dr for years mainly on KCET.He’s all for the common man. He should be the Surgeon General of the USA.
  • My daughter has a community garden! They have so many vegetables 🌶 & fruit 🍎 they give it away! People drive through & they get a bag 💼 of fresh food 🥘 every month!
  • I was on a keto group on fb. These women were actually arguing that "keto cereal" chemical laden food colored fruit flavored keto cereal was healthier than 2 eggs and a banana for breakfast. Seriously. People are so brainwashed.

It blows my mind the strict regulations being implemented on the tobacco & perfume industry (A perfume regulation organization banned high amounts of natural oakmoss in colognes due to allergens) yet our food industry continues to poison us to the very extreme. Like WHAT!? - Makes no sense.

I am 74, in excellent health. Hubby and I eat 90% at home, not going out and very rarely eating fast food. We no longer have chips, dips, ice cream, doughnuts, nor eat fried foods. This started about 4 months ago when my husband became aware he was in an obese range and was pre-diabetic . Me, about 35 lbs overweight. We adopted a lifestyle of eating healthy, fruits, fresh veggies, baked chicken, baked fish. While hubby does have a Diet Coke once a day, and I tend to drink Crystal Light. Sorry, I can’t stand drinking just water all day. We added a exercise regime of walking, and working in our garden. I have lost 22 lbs., and hubby has lost 35 lbs. while he wants to lose more, he is no longer pre-diabetic, nor in the obese range. We feel so much better, more energy, better sleep. We both realize losing this weight is a lifelong commitment of eating healthy. Will we, on rare occasions, eat a little ice cream once in awhile, or stop at a fast food, yes, but in moderation, then immediately go back to our healthy lifestyle.

I have always been lean or a skinny kid. However I got a little "dad belly" when son was in JR high/HS. I looked in them mirror one day and I have another chin. I said F this. Started mountain biking again, went to gym and lost 30 pounds in a year. Then starting competing in XC mountain bike racing, went KEO about 3 years ago and I am on another level for being 51 years old. Very lean, fit, feel great. I was 235 @ 6'4" now 200-205 but with better mass.

There’s a documentary here on YouTube titled “Sugar Coated.” In this documentary you will see what this guest is referring to – the government dealings with the sugar industry and their own researchers to combat the bad rap on Sugar. It’s similar to what big tobacco went through in the 70s. A very enlightening documentary and not to be missed. It’s right here on YouTube and it’s free!

Imagine the amount of foods they would have to remove from the grocery store shelves if everything had to be healthy. I think it would be 80% of it. The store would be much smaller.

I haven't been to a doctor in 15 years due to most of them just interested in pushing pills instead of fixing problems. This is the only dr. I ever want to see in my future.
