[Recorded 3-12-22] Happy Montgomery Day 2022!! This is the 5th year of this tradition! Let's keep it going!! Today is my 23rd birthday, and I could not think of anything cooler to post to celebrate! Here are two freaking AMAZING Montgomery A-Series traction freight elevators!! These are so cool and so full of character, and I love everything about them. They fly up and down this building and are actually some of the fastest freight elevators I've ever been on. These have VFD floor indicators and lanterns on every floor, along with beautiful doorbell door-closing chimes! The doors are extremely fast on both cars too which is really cool! The right car only serves the Nordstrom floors and Nordstrom's dock at the bottom level. It skips all of the mall floors. The left car can serve every floor in the building, but all of the mall floors are disabled. In the mall service corridors, this freight is in a separate room marked "fireman's elevator" on every floor but you cannot call it.     All I got to say is just WOW. Ever since I saw Sam's video of these, I instantly knew I had to ride these when I come to SF. The sounds they make, and the way they run to me are just so intreging! I love Montgomery traction elevators, especially their freights. You have no idea how many times I've wanted to comment a timestamp on this video and say how much I love these elevators for what they are doing (sounds, etc). So... 2:58 OMG. Lol. These are also super unique - the hall lanterns that are mounted on the sides are awesome, especially with their bells. The fast doors and the loud sounds they make are also awesome, and that DC motor... my favorite part about Montgomery tractions. Also, it's amazing how these are in a set. I have still - even on modern day freights, have seen that implemented. Anyways, happy birthday dude.
