I love cats. I had cats as pets in childhood and into adulthood. Unfortunately, I'm now 61 and suffer from COPD, allergies, and am arthritic, severely limiting my ability to care for a pet. I no longer have them, but I sure miss them, though. So now I watch cat videos.
  • I've had cats my whole 40 years on this earth and never had a pure bread one- always been totally mixed (and free!) And they have all been absolutely wonderful and fabulous pets!!! I adore ALL cats and love them more than people :) 😻🐈❀️
  • My life would feel so empty without a cat. I love them all - no matter what breed. Peace & love to all my fellow cat lovers out there! πŸ˜»πŸ’

I am a dog and horse person. I am currently going through a divorce and have been researching about cats since I am in an apartment when this little DSH tabby kitten walked up to me on my second story porch. Needless to say this boy became what I have been looking for. In the most obscure of places. My boy Loki is the king. Live him.

Cats are near perfect. If a cat really likes you, feel complimented. They avoid and abandon jerks.
  • I have 5 cats that I have picked up out of the street - we love each other very much. As long as I live I will always have cats in my house. 😸πŸ₯°πŸ˜Έ
  • "If you're buying a cat" ... WAIT! ... WHAT? ... BUY a cat? ... But, but, but ... what about the Gazillions of cats in need of a loving Family and nice, warm home? This Documentary was fun, and interesting ... and these purebred cats are undoubtedly gorgeous ... but If you're looking for a "special" cat, then just get a cat! I'm 65, have no idea about how many cats I've lived with (you don't OWN a cat!), and ALL of them were special in their own particular way! If you don't believe me, just ask a cat! As far as BUYING a cat ... I don't consider PAYING FOR a cat from a local Animal Shelter to be the same as BUYING a cat. I think of it as a needed contribution to a very worthy cause. If you have a particular type of cat in mind ... there's a pretty good chance that you will find one who fits the description at the Shelter! You may even find one (or more) whom you like even better than what you had in mind. The last time I visited a Shelter, I was heartbroken that I couldn't pack my car FULL of cats to take home with me! They probably had 30 or more cats ... ALL needing homes! Some were reaching out through the bars of their cages trying to get my attention ... as a cat lover, it was painful ... I'm crying again, just thinking about it. PLEASE ADOPT from your local Shelter!

My husband just built a very nice cat condo for our outdoor feral cats. It’s heated for winter. It’s in the shade for summer. They love it.
  • I could not imagine my life without my cats. I have had as many as 9 but now it is 4 to 5.

When you keep stray cats like I do, you will find that they embody a lot of these characteristics these breeders ascribe to their breeds. And every cat is an individual and even cats from the same litter will have different characters. Just like humans.

I had my Abbie for 26yrs & I adored her.... I've had cats all my life & I wouldn't not have one or two.
  • The best cat breed without any doubt in my mind is: Mongrel! Too many purebred cats and dogs are prone to any number of health problems. Mutts for the win! I've had cats all my life and never had a purebred to my knowledge (all random rescue cats that chose me). They have all had their own personalities and all have been affectionate and fun and frisky and friendly. I think it has more to do with how you relate to them than what breed they are.
  • I'm thinking of getting a cat, and this video really helped me make a well informed decision πŸ‘ πŸ‘πŸ». Update, I got the most beautiful and adorable little kitten ever. He really is the cats meow πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ₯°β€

Cats are beautiful , fascinating creatures.I had a Devon Rex by the name Babu and he was the love of my life, sharing the darkest and best periods. When he passed I was heart broken. Even now I still feel the loss. Its fascinating hearing people compare cats with dogs. I have had both and I was close to my dog Amy a lovely Springer Spaniel but nothing like Babu. A dogs affection is a given, bred as they are to it and their genetics.Cats however, go beyond their wild nature for YOU. That is very special.

I love all pets especially dogs. However, I have always preferred cats. My wife and I live aboard our 63' sailboat and currently have two "sea" cats. They are wonderful companions and we never have to worry about birds perching in the rigging and pooping all over the deck! They absolutely love looking over the side and watching all of the fish, dolphins, manatees or whatever else happens to swim or fly by. We have a cat-door in the main companionway so, they can go up on-deck anytime they please and we will often hear them chasing each other around the deck at night! They are the best pets to have onboard a boat. I must state that you have to be sure to clean their litter box atleast once a day and if you do, you will never smell it. That is every non-cat person's complaint about cats but, it's easily remedied. Cleaning a litter box once or twice a day is really so much easier and less time consuming than walking a dog around the block and picking up their poop. Enjoy your feline companion(s) my friends! And God bless! πŸ™πŸ» πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

There's no such thing as a best cat, they're all the best 😼🐈❀️

go get a rescue cat and be surprised! You will have done a good deed and made this world a little bit better.

Although I have a rag doll and a snowshoe, they were both rescues. There are so many beautiful lovable animals in shelters that need homes. Find it sad that we humans cause so much animal suffering due to our ego.
