  • "If you have a problem with me, you talk to my Boss!" The look on his face!!!!
  • @levantos
He Mastered and Commanded the shit out of that room
  • This is great, he is MAJORLY disrespectful without giving any "actionable" disrespect. He shows up. He TRIES to cooperate. When it becomes clear that the panel is NOT acting in good faith, he points them to the higher authority that he actually answers too.

"I was also a partisan in the war. So I know a firing squad when I see one." With that line alone, Gabriel had looked through his superior's BS and knew exactly why he was summoned.
  • Russel's italian accent was a bit forced but definetly better than other non-italian actors in the movie.

"father Amorth, YOU HAVE NOTBEEN DISMISSED!!!!" "cookoo!" lol.

Listen to his vocal tone when addressing the nuns. It's gentle, respectful. Warm. He SEES them. He would never say coo coo to them.

He still has his “Unhinged” body. Russel Crowe really is one of the best.

My Great Uncle is an exorcist of the Catholic Church. It wasn't his choice, when a catholic priest retire but still wants to work, the Bishop usually give him a side task on the dioscese, for him it was exorcist. He was kinda perplex at first, but then quickly started to love this. And it is indeed true that 99% of the time, he is just a free catholic psychiatrist. He is then followed by a team of parishioners that are psychiatrists or with similar competencies that can take over or recommend to medical professionals. Sometimes, the person who called him really want something, so he does a "show", like burning the object that is cursed. Like all services of the Catholic church this is 100% free, but sadly many people fake that they are catholic exorcist and ask for payment after exorcism, abusing people in distress.
  • A bit of rave up: The youth and inexperience of the antagonistic 'cardinal' was the first and most ridiculous thing (their average age is 72).
  • @Alex-ql9gw
the "coo coo" at the end was hilarious!
  • @MrHellsing76
I love how the older priests just look as bored with this as Amorth is, and the one (and only american) young one is on a crusade to stop exorcisms for science, how he got in such a high space in the vatican to call a meeting like this is hilarious.
  • @JaghataiK
I can’t believe that as an ardent atheist I’m on Amorth’s side on this one. Red tape, scapegoating and compulsory respect for superiors really tick me off.
  • @RADIMHUNTER
Man went from Gladiator to be Nice guy and ended to be Exorcist !!! :D
  • @sweetpapad4674
Hey man of science my self but if the guy is saying 98% of his work is nothing supernatural and moving it to doctors I don't think you can say say he's being loose on what should require an exorcism.

Did similar years ago when i was called in for a routine performance review, with the main boss, the area boss, a note taker and a silent witness. A few minutes into it i just started chuckling. When they asked if i wanted to share the joke, i calmed myself, sipped my tea and told them flat out. "Surely such a meeting would be best suited behind a chemical shed?" Looks on their faces said it all.

I like the way he is so respectful to the Nuns, who don't have power in this situation and are just being helpful, but is happy to disrespect the powerful. That shows character.
