Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability youtube.com/post/Ugkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3… also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!
  • I bought my Exmark 5 years ago and had Toro mowers prior to that. At that time the underside of the cutting deck was compartmentalized differently and did provide a slightly better cut. But one of the biggest differences was that I was able to customize the Exmark by picking out the engine that I wanted along with the deck size, and other items, whereas when I bought the Toro, it only came one way, no options, no choices in engine type, nothing.........take it or leave it. Hopefully Toro will allow some customization now.

Ive been a toro guy all my life, great machine. Sold my timecutter hd and bought an Exmark Radius X. You will be happy with either brand. Only difference is cutting deck. After the sale service and parts availability is a big factor too

I've owned both for many years and cut quality is the same as is the striping. It really comes down to specs, price and dealer. I've been lucky in that my dealer sells both Toro and Exmark but most don't. Choose a reputable dealer and a machine that fits your needs and you won't disappointed in either brand.
  • I agree chose a dealer near you ,but I have noticed with my lazer Z 72 I have had issue with my engine and it comes down to a design issue on mine 2018 , the exhaust was not installed properly and puts stress on the engine head .
  • We have run Toro since our beginnings in the 1980’s and for us it comes down to 1. cutting quality/deck design and reliability 2. Dealer service and support 3. Machine availability and standardization especially for the our mechanics. Therefore we run Toro for all our Sport Field, Golf Course and Commercial Maintenance teams and been very pleased with the manufacturer. ExMark makes a quality product even before they were purchased by Toro but for our company and various services we provide the standardization works well for us but every company is different so they need to determine what fits best for the services they provide and dealerships parts and services in their area.
  • I really enjoyed this video. I had heard they had merged, now I know the full detail. Very interesting that Toro actually makes the Exmark brand. Nice point about how well the grass is cut at golf courses, not sure what brand they use to cut their grass, but I have seen some MLB grounds crew use the Toro brand.
  • The deck and deck fabrication are the biggest difference. Exmark deck out performs toro decks in both high grass and wet grass.
  • The Exmark deck has aluminum alloy spindle housings and the Toro deck you showed has Toro’s cast steel spindle housings and probably roller bearings instead of sealed ball bearings.
  • You can't beat a Toro. I'm still running a 2004 Toro Timecutter 17-44ZX. Next year it will be 20 years old! I'm impressed! But I have taken care of it and replaced the motor once.

I have the 2022 radius a series which no longer offers the suspension model and also had a Kawasaki FX engine on it

Didn't know Toro owned ExMark. I was going to get an ExMark Laser Z but I liked the equivalent Toro, so now knowing they are essentially the same it comes down the best dealer as you mentioned and is close by that will provide good support.
  • I’ve used them both pretty heavily, I generally prefer exmark simply because of dealer support; however I prefer the exmark vantage / toro grandstand stand on vs the newer staris and vertex models. In the end it is very similar to Chevy / GMC, a lot comes down to preferences and availability.
  • When I see an ex mark it reminds of a wheel horse tractor which I’m a big fan of.
  • I went back and forth with dealers and I thought they were the same other than the deck, I think toro deck is built better with bull nose and wheel support, I went with toro it was a few hundred dollars cheaper for basically the same mower and the exmark dealer pissed me off trying to tell me they were different knowing they are the same other than deck.

I'm a Gravely guy but both are great mowers. Had a friend with a Toro beat it to death still going!!!

I'm considering 60" Toro, timecutter is $1300 cheaper than titan. Is the titan worth the difference?

The xmark have a ADAPT FEATURE for the deck blade cut. Do Toro have that 🤔
