This pickup is in it's element when it's played at rehearsal volumes..at bedroom levels it doesn't open up enough to let it breath..It's an awesome pickup based strongly on an original PAF .. with just a bit more output to get it really cutting and is harmonically very rich.. really cut's through a band mix beautifully.. Very articulate pup with balls!

I tried this pickup in an American strat that I hot rodded up a few years ago. Floyd-warmoth pickguard. I really liked it! has a lot of 'sponge' in the feel with very good saturation! seems like the midrange is scooped out some though. I tried the dimebucker and it was even more spongier! very soft with lots of attack!

Really wanting to try this pickup. Lynch was my first guitar inspiration and his tone back in the late 80's is still my favorite. I've played enough guitars with active or high output passive pickups through high gain amps and I prefer the growl of a medium output pickup through a Marshall and Greenback speakers. I have Jackson USA models with JB, love them, but plan to drop the SD in either a Fender Strat or Charvel.

i have a screaming demon on my charvel model one....which is a single humbucker love the tone
