Pokémon Go is a 2016 augmented reality (AR) mobile game developed and published by Niantic in collaboration with The Pokémon Company for iOS and Android devices. A part of the Pokémon franchise, the game is the result of a collaboration between Niantic, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. It uses the mobile device GPS to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, which appear as if they are in the player's real-world location. The game is free to play; it uses a freemium business model and supports in-app purchases for additional in-game items. The game launched with around 150 species of Pokémon, which had increased to around 500 by 2019.

Pokémon Go was released to mixed reviews; critics praised the concept, but criticized technical problems. It was one of the most used and profitable mobile apps in 2016, having been downloaded more than 500 million times worldwide by the end of the year. It is credited with popularizing location-based and AR technology, promoting physical activity, and helping local businesses grow due to increased foot traffic. However, it attracted controversy for contributing to accidents and creating public nuisances. Various governments expressed concerns about security, and some countries regulate its use. By early 2019, the game had over a billion global downloads, grossing over $3 billion in revenue. The game also had over 147 million monthly active users as of May 2018.

Semi-related - Save your Stardust (and maxing out ANY mon) for Level 46 into 47 when you have to get 3 to their Max CP. I maxed three out before this challenge was put to me and unlike the have X Platinum Medals (Depending on level), the three that I maxed out prior to L46 did not count. So I had to do 3 more while L46. I didn't have as much dust as I do now, so it was a PAIN...

Stack field research tasks in a manner where, on your seven-day streak, you catch an Audino/Foongus/Paras/Sableye/Shellder — after using a Star Piece.

Saving stardust for field research, tagging only ones that are relevant and stardust events, always use starpiece on 7day catch and battle pvp on easy wins to get stardust. These are my playing style.

I recently blew a ton of my startldust on a Shuckle. I trolled hard i the little catch cup along with a Chancey. And it is fun to through into gyms too. Lol

Perfect timing. I'm in a bit of a stardust predicament rn. Which pvp league is shadow Feraligatr better in; great or ultra?

Dope vid Count, I’d recommend everyone have a stardust benchmark, at first mine was 4 million startdust ( in 2021) now by the end of 2024, I’m gonna have 20 million stardust ( I’m at 15.3 million stardust atm)

My strategy is to go for getting meta relevant lucky Pokemons, Pros: You save a lot of stardust The downsides: 1) It requires a another trainer to trade with 2) It takes more effort 3) You wont have the perfect IV's

I’ve been saving stardust by only purifying low cost shadow Pokémon like Starly for my level 44 task. Doing the power up task for encounters, etc; I’ve been keeping Pokémon that are 10 CP for those tasks so I’m not out a ton of stardust or candies. powering up necessary Pokémon to either level 35 or 30 for shadows so I can power up more raid attackers instead of investing all into one like I did when I first started. Doing GBL to get to rank 20 and then either winning/losing for the 3,000+ stardust after 5 battles.

i grind extra lots of stardust for dialga and palkia and power up lots of my best pokemon
  • @Gabe-le8ow
I just powered up a hundo shadow raikou and hundo origin palkia with special rend im left with 7,000 stardust

I got a 💯% iv shadow Bagon that I will max out and thinking of maxing out my 98% iv shadow Bagon as well
  • @DaniSarfati
I found when building out raid teams it was better to have 3x of a top counter rather than 1 of them. Way back I would just power up decent top counters to level 30 (from a hatched egg, level 20 it was about 70 candy and 64K dust). I try to move my teams from 30 to 35, then to 40, if possible. I'm not as much of a hard core player as I had been in the past and am a big fan of finding "trash" IV pokemon that are high level, trading them and evolving them if they are decent counters. I've thought it's better to have a 0% IV "top counter" that's level 30 than have a bunch of junk throw in.
  • I have a lucky shiny Dialga 14/14/14 with the special move and an origin without move 14/15/15 which should I max out ?
  • @leedaero
What about new attack moves, they can be very expensive. I have 40 million stardust mainly because I don’t know how to spend it lol.
  • The biggest problem with stardust for me is... I have nothing to spend it on... Living in the village doesn't allow me to catch many legends. I used stardusts for all I wanted, and now I've got 12M waiting for something worth it.
  • @markd_aus9809
how about shadow mons like Garchomp (I have a 96%) is that worthwhile?
  • I now have 4 3* Shadow Dragonites and 1 3* Salamence. Everything I get im giving to the army until they are above 40 😂
  • @UldisCrystal
My goal is to max LV50 each Pokedex entry at max IV xD
