RT’s streamer luck in a nutshell: -Catch god with a level 7 piplup -Find fly, making travel much easier -Accidently softlock the fourth gym so that he can’t use fly and loses the challenge

This is basically a Top Gear challenge. “Hammond, where are you?” “Mount Coronet, mate. We’re ahead of you.” “Have you seen the Stig?” “I think he’s struggling to navigate Bulbapedia. Could take him a while.”

If RT had fly, probably would've won as there would be no hoops that need to be jumped getting between towns, but it was a fun run to watch nonetheless, although maybe it would have still been close with a few minutes difference, who knows.

i watched this live and honestly if RT had been able to beat maylene and gotten fly he would have smoked pointcrow, because pointcrow had spent so long looking for cynthia while RT technically knew where everything was, except he spent 30+ min searching for maylene who would not appear anywhere and after that he wasn't able to fly around to get the rest of the warps

I think we should get a rematch only because RT had to handicap himself because we all know Crow couldn’t handle the awesome might of the Drift king

This is honestly an interesting insight into how Platinum works, that it actually does check for the right badge rather than overall progression. Kind of makes me want to see a game that puts at least some of the gyms in no particular order and makes all the HMs traversal abilities so the region gradually opens up in different ways depending on how you play.
