There are a LOT of talk around the Canadiens around Necas. Weird you would not include them and do an impossible Colorado trade... Nishushkin is full of problems, and walker will not be resigned... Why would CAR trade for that... giving Necas in the trad... NOT HAPPENING!!

Necas is a good fit for the wings, I just think you have to give more picks if you’re including Petry

I feel like all your trades treat the Canes like they're in a rebuild, so many picks, prospects, and young defensemen. Except for Petry, apparently they want a 36 year old defenseman making 6.25m instead of Necas, I don't think so. They'd just sign Necas. I think the goal is going to be exactly what it was last year, a high end forward. They have enough prospect D men in the org to cover for potentially losing Peskjei, and enough cap space to find a 2nd or 3rd pair guy in free agency for a season or two. They need to replace Necas with a Necas who fits their system better, not projects and picks.

Trade 1: I suspect Petry declines that trade. Even though Detroit would love to get rid of his contract, he specifically wanted to be moved to Detroit since that's where he's from and where all of his family is.
