I build practically nothing myself due to a fatal combination of age and incompetence, but I still enjoyed this video very much simply for its educational value. Thanks!
  • @ZK-DK
These are excellent recommendations. We have most of these tools at work, because they are the safest most reliable tools available. Don't risk your safety, or equipment get a Fluke meter. You can take their online multi meter class and receive a certificate, provided you answer every question correctly.
  • @dsmmike95
I have a fluke meter that my dad had when he worked and i have one that i got at auto school. His gives me the same numbers as mine and its maybe 30 or 40 years old. We dont use them everyday maybe thats why its lasted so long.
  • @inplfw
Less than 2 hours ago on a recent video I left a Joke comment calling Will a corporate shill for Klein and then he uploads this video saying a Klein he owned broke... Guess there's egg on my face.
  • @mrstimpy100
Hey Will, I have used dozens of soldering irons. Just like you finally got a Fluke meter,,you need to try a Weller WX soldering station. Fast interchangeable tips. It heats to temperature in 2 seconds! It shows the temp real-time. And because it has a rapid heat capacity, it can dump the heat into the joint!! The heating element is at the tip. It's really a different soldering experience. Rather than apply the tinned tip to the joint and wait till it is hot enough to feed solder, you apply the tinned tip to the joint and almost immediately feed solder. This is really important when soldering components that are temperature sensitive. Rather than cooking the joint, you rapidly apply heat solder and remove heat......Keith

  • I recently picked up a Knipex 13728 wire strippers They're by far the best wire stripper tool I have ever run across.
  • @TRYtoHELPyou
This is really good. I usually just spend time walking around all the isles at all the tool stores. Always something to find, it seems, that is new.
  • With Klein they guarantee their products, they will exchange any tool that breaks no questions asked if the break is from normal use!

Happy to see you looking Happy and Healthy 🌎✌️❤️🎼🎵🎶

I have about 2/3 of the tools you went over and your advice is spot on from my experiences too. The one that has saved me hours and wasted trips getting the wrong parts is the thread/screw checker. I have used it on every thing from batteries to flange bolts on a turbo.
  • @GillyGuy
I work in precast concrete and we have several of those same hammer drills... they are the best you can get if you dont wanna pay the larger price for a hilti.
  • @fauxque5057
One tool I didn't own but decided I needed was a Ferrule crimper, and a variety of ferrules. Any time you are dealing with fine stranded wire, a ferrule is recommended. I actually bought 2 different sizes. One does up to 10 guage wire, and the other does the bigger sizes. The big one is handy for the 4 gauge wire in the solar charge inverters. I always had problems getting that 4 guage into the terminal but crimping on a ferrule makes it easy to get in the connector. I had a small fire in my combiner box because I stopped checking the connections with my Fluke laser temperature gun. Over time stranded wires will loosen up and then you get arcing. Even using a torque screwdriver. So I invested in the ferrule crimpers. Very cheap tool. After crimping on a ferrule and then torquing the connection I haven't had any problems. But it's made me lazy again because I quit checking my connections with the temp gun. Probably melt down another breaker before I stop being lazy again.

If you already have Milwaukee 18v tools I highly recommend their shop vack. It looks like a tool box. Its not for big moves but a great grab and use vac. I just used it yesterday cleaning out the wire boxes on the eg4 indoor batteries and 18kpv I am installing. Thanks for your reviews on those items.
  • @AnthonyBove
Love these videos, sometimes it’s nice to get some focus on the tools or little details everyone assumes is common knowledge, especially for the beginners
  • @P_RO_
Gotta LOVE good tools. If you think the right tool costs too much, you haven't discovered what a job done wrong costs. If you're setting up just your own system once, you can recoup most of your tool costs by selling them when you're done. I recommend keeping tools because if you needed it once, the odds are that you'll need it again someday and it will cost more then than now.
