Its good to see a company who isn't afraid of public appearances. Had a few laughs, and enjoyed the insights. I will be sure to try this product out. Well done.

I used to work at Home Depot on the merchandising team and one of their reps came into our store in Bettendorf, Iowa and he was super cool! I stayed after work for like 20 minutes talking to him about their products and became a huge advocate for their stuff. I've used it several times at my home and at my parents. I can attest that there employees are awesome and their product is spectacular! Thanks for another great video!

Keep in mind regarding existing cracks that you intend to cover with this or any cement product. The crack(s) is a indication of a underlying problem which caused the concrete to initially fail. I would advise to open up all visible cracks in a "V" shape with a diamond blade and bridge the new opening with a thin mesh and a quality 2 part anchoring epoxy. Cracks in concrete being overlaid without proper attention to the crack will most certainly transfer that crack to the top surface. Take the time and do it right the first time. The crack may still transfer, MAY, but you have placed the project into a much better structural position.
  • I couldn't be happier that you got a sponsorship!!!!! Congrats to you, Michael, and many thanks to Rapid Set from Michael's loyal followers!

I followed your instructions and application tips expressly. Cleaned and etched the concrete with R.ustoleum products Applied the New Crete with a squeegee ,since I had only me to do the 1500 sq ft project ,I did it in 100 sq ft sections. One thing that I did that you do not mention in the video but is recommended by Rapid Set , and that is to seal the New Crete with an industrial type sealer. No Thompsons or other type sealer, I used ARMOR GUARD,it is a D.O.T approved sealer for roads and highways. The concrete was 30 years old, it looked like brand new when I was finished with everything. Now a year later not one are of flaking or peeling ,the winters in Northern Illinois can be rough and we get 95 plus summers days ,no flaking no peeling , impressive if you do the project correctly and follow instructions

I watched this video at least a dozen times. I used this stuff on my concrete. I went thru 12 boxes. It took me the first four to figure out the correct consistency. It sets fast. I mean fast. You have to work quickly. I spent three days cleaning my concrete. Maybe overdone. But better safe than never. This guy is correct. Mask off what you don’t want this stuff to stick to. I had large cracks in my concrete and I used a grinder to clean out all the cracks. I also used the crack filler to fill all the cracks. It turned out pretty good. I do recommend this stuff. I did mine by myself. It would be best to have a helper. One side note. When you moisten the concrete before pouring this stuff down. Keep in mind that this stuff will lift the water off the concrete so use the water sparingly when pre wetting the surface.

Congrats on your sponsorship, I'm glad they noticed you good your videos are and wanted to be a part of that. Great job Michael!

I watched your video and I just did my patio concrete resurfacing today. It went smooth and amazing. Thank you

I am so happy you got a sponsor! Just found your videos a couple weeks ago and I am so pumped to try my hand at pouring a countertop for my home. Keep up with the content!
  • @theworld5937
Man he makes it look so easy. My results are very huge variations in color everywhere because each bucket pour dries so quick. I used all-crete and I had one minute each pour to spread it out before it dried. Followed mix ratios on bag for soupy and still dried less than 60 seconds. Used like 6 liters of water per bag.
  • @ZenHulk
OK, because of you i'm attempting this next week, never used anything but the red bag for post, but i have watched this video 5 times and bought the tools.
  • CONGRATULATIONS on getting a sponsor! BIG THANKS to Rapid Set for recognizing great talent! I'm looking forward to more videos and to see if you can make a countertop from NewCrete.
  • @beatricea6337
Congratulations buddy with being sponsored for this video. 👍👍👍😉 I love how simple and fast this was. Another great and informative video. Keep them coming. 👍😉🌞🌞

Wish I'd watched this video BEFORE I tried resurfacing the first section of my driveway! Ended up using way too much NewCrete because I didn't realize I should fill the deeper spallilng voids with CementAll and a trowel first-off. Also prevents having "standing water" when you saturate the concrete because there will be no holes per se. NewCrete ain't cheap either, and it is not easy for a newbie since it sets so fast. Really seems to like overcast skies and temps around 60 for working it with the squegee. Anyway, at least I have the next section(s) of my driveway to do right, thanks to Michael Builds!

I've used a few different types of resurfacer over the last 10 years. The one recently I found that out performed over any other is Quikrete's Recap. Just came out a few years ago. Easy to use, awesome bonding strength and very durable.

Man, I'm glad Rapid Set is paying you for these. You are definitely selling me a few bags for all the stuff I need to do. I have a pitted driveway and counter tops to do.
  • @ld2102011
How fabulous is it that Rapid Set contacted you!!! Glad to hear it, you deserve the recognition, great videos! You are so informative and fun to watch. Plus you time it right, speeding up the redundancies of the steps helps keep one engaged and not too long to watch. I can't sit through half hour DYI's, but in less than 8 minutes, just about anyone can watch and learn :)
  • @RaphaelDuncanSD
Boom!! Been looking for a solution like this for ages. Can't wait to spiff up my damaged sidewalks next summer.
