Hello, just going to correct information here as someone who is in this community and has done and spoken to a lot of people who have found and researched this stuff. The duck animatronic’s name is not Dr Dux it is officially called DrQuack and is only known to have been installed at the Simi Valley Pizza Time Theatre in 1980 according to local newspapers. He was an early cabaret act that was targeted towards kids, unlike how Dollie Dimples and Artie Antlers were targeted towards adults, Dr Quack played nursery rhymes. Another fact is according to someone who worked at PTT Corp, Dr Quack was based off Mike Hatcher the original programmer and entertainment director for the early days of PTT. According to coworkers, Mike Hatchers nickname was “DrDux” and there’s a diagnostics tape labeled DrDux Diagnostics which is a reference to Mike not Dr Quack since the diagnostics is for The King animatronic.

This video warms my heart, I love the fact that the big C doesn't just get a mention in a larger video, but a whole video to himself.
  • @TPLS2
The sad reality too is that a majority of the masks for animatronics that were either some latex material have melted away or just turned to goop. Also the original molds have been lost.
  • @fruitcakedog1997
This was very much an unexpected video, but a nice surprise! Wolfman Zapp’s has always fascinated me in a way. Imagine having a late night party at some random place completely unaware that 30 or 40 years later no one would know hardly anything about its existence…

As much as I love this topic, there's something so eerie about all the old footage, and the pictures of some of the animatronics? Like, the way they are standing in corners, with the heavy shadows behind them, and how some of them are half taken apart and sorta staring blankly? Very fascinating.

I would love lost media videos from other restaurants and fast food establishments (like Burger King, Pizza Hut, Texas Roadhouse, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Shake Shack, etc.).
  • @Calpsotoma
That animated commercial was listed as running from Dec 1979-Jan 1980. That is such a short window of time and still in that period of time when VHS players were too expensive for most people to own. I doubt we'll find it randomly recorded. Archives or even demo reels from the people involved would be more likely leads.

This right here 6:01 is what caused some childhood trauma I would 100% knew that they were animatronics on the stage and when the walk-around character came out I thought it was robots taking over the world to come get me not only that but I thought every walk around costume ever worked this way and that is why I was afraid of giant teddy bears as well I thought they were all just robots and they could potentially hurt me because they're robots obviously that's not the case but thank you Chucky Cheese for the trauma

Dude I'm so glad you made this video! Wolfman Zapp has been an obsession of mine for an extremely long time and it's nice to see him get covered by bigger voices. Hopefully we'll be able to recover what exactly happened to a lot of the lost animatronics in this video, for some reason Chuck E. Cheese's lost media is just so interesting

So glad to see someone talk about CEC. I’m a super fan, so I would like to clarify some things 1. Zapp is 100 percent a retrofit. Even the photos you showed show that he is a retrofit of the standard cyberamic bot 2 The person I’ve talking about may be lying, so take this with a grain of salt. I’ve spoken with someone who (supposedly) knows the guy who owns Zapp. It’s said he got it from a going out of business auction. This is a common thing for CeC animatronics to do 3. The awesome adventure machine was from my local CeC. Unfortunately it’s been confirmed that the bot was destroyed 4. This is also unconfirmed, but apparently the community were the ones to name the animatronics in the Hot Fudge Show 5. CEC has a history of destroying old stuff, so it’s most likely a lot of these animatronics were destroyed I’ve been in the CEC fandom for years at this point, so if anyone’s got any questions, I’d love to answer. Animatronics are my passion. I would also love to share more info about some other lost Showbiz and CEC media. I know of some more media you missed out on

Hi LSSQ, I just wanted to say that the lost sailor mouth uncensored audio used to be up on YouTube. I think around 2 years back, someone said he would post the audio on his channel which he did. This was before I was interested in lost media so I didn’t think much of it. I’m pretty sure it got taken down because I can’t find it anymore, but since it was up it must mean someone has it. So yeah, it’s out there somewhere, we just need to find the right people.
  • @omamatone7633
I will never get over the fact that they got rid of the animatronics. That was such a memorable part of Chuck E. Cheese. I remember being MORTIFIED when I saw them at my friend's birthday party when I was like 6, but they're still iconic to the franchise.
  • @peachyjjarred
This was really coo to learn about the different animatronics that were lost over the years. I still vividly remembered being obsessed with the animatronics as a boy;and I’d run up to the stage an watch the shows really close
  • @Longestbaba239
Wow, I never knew Chuck E. Cheese Lost media existed, these kinds of stuff always makes me happy, especially when it comes to my childhood shows or places. ( edit ) I know sometime the grimace shake will become Lost media.
  • @CECGuy_
Thanks for covering CEC lost media so that more people can help search for it. I’m really surprised that not even a single photo has came out of Wolfman Zapp’s. I hope maybe one day we can find either a showtape or a photo/footage. I also know that the lost commercial will definitely be found. If it never does resurface, I’ll definitely be surprised
  • @jimmyjobin
This has made my day and I didn’t know that CEC had a lot of lost media. Speaking of lost media, there was one rare 2004 ad that I haven’t seen on TV before. It features Chuck E., who takes something out of one kid’s ear and then, he reveals his hand to show five tokens. During the end, he goes “Chuck’s the name. Five free tokens’s my game.”. All I know is that I found the rough drafted version of the commercial on YouTube back in 2017. Hope to see the finalized version soon, which will be found online.
  • @ZeepAtomic
Never have I clicked so quickly because of seeing Chuck E. Cheese in the title.
  • @SonicDisplay
To add on to the dr dux lost media, he was used in only 1 known store (Simi valley CA) which was used to sing childrens songs to guests at the location. (I got this information from chatty Chuck e)
  • Thanks for continuing to spread the word on the missing Animated PTT Commercial!~ I hope to see it fully one day!

It’s nice to see big lost media enthusiasts talk about CEC lost media, you don’t see that very often. Great video, you explained everything very thoroughly, and you managed to summon an entire fandom here, haha.
