When writing songs I always want to try and make them as interesting as possible and something I was taught a really long time ago was word association.

In this video I go through how I use word association to keep my songs more interesting and fresh by taking words that mean the same thing but describe the scenario in a very different way.

One of the arts to telling stories is to try and paint pictures and the more descriptive you get with your words the more you will find your songs feel more fresh and original.
