Judy has spent a lifetime promoting polkas in one form or another, from being President of an organization, Polka Ambassadors Jr dancers, musician, Disc Jockey with Jimmy Soldridge, sponsoring vacations(Rome, Hawaii, LasVegas, Lafayette La), bus trips everywhere, major polka dances(Erie, Oglebay,Polka in the Hills) along with small dances locally, newsletters, cook, album, and manage to find time to play in band with her sister Verna(Western Penn Concertina Stars) and taking care of her own family. Every minute detail had to be done with perfection. She has done it all and I am a witness to those 50 years and all the hard work she has done promoting the music and culture that she so loves. It's a lifetime achievement that took dedication and persistence in the preservation of the music she loves.
Lil Wally famous saying was "It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice". I can honestly say she not only lived that motto but is "exceptionally nice" to all the bands, promoters, and polka fans as she recognized their accomplishments as well. She always makes sure they always go home with a smile and a little joy in their hearts.
