Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe told the Senate on Tuesday that he cannot defend why his agency didn't better secure the roof where a gunman fired at Donald Trump during a rally earlier this month. CBS News congressional reporter Nikole Killion has more on Rowe's testimony.

They show a pic of a guy showing 'just his head' and claims it is difficult to see? Excuse me, but the gun would ALSO have to be exposed to take the shot. Yet NO ONE saw him. Not acceptable.

Next we will hear they perceived him as a threat 90 days before the rally

We wouldn't know anything at all if we didn't have cell phones or the Internet.

She was not held accountable. You basically get to quit and a life was taken . Horrible

Wake UP it's simple, I know it's hard to believe but their are lots of people who dislike Trump, even in the security service.

Wouldn't Rowe also be responsible for this colossal mess-up?
  • @MikeLJ-ku7ov
What he said was the incompetence is unexplainable to the point it had to be an inside hit.Evidence shows there enough time to allow the shooter to get the shot off and did nothing to stop it
  • @Bob-cx4ze
And yet what accountability has occured? He wouldn't even discuss the agent in command on the scene.

Kid was spotted on roof with rifle. 17 mins before he got a shot off. There is a pro active leave the pres open policy for sure. Kid got all his rounds off before secret service even got near trump.

The shooter's phone records shows that he contacted teh FBI in Washington at least two times usine an encrypted app.

Rowe appears to be giving information collected and his opinion of what went wrong at this point. It appears that the officers assigned to watch that area from the second floor left their post. There is no excuse for that. Maybe it was hot, boo, hoo.

DEI is more important than the national security.
