📝 "Six Pills" Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
In the woods I met a man
Old as oak and staff in hand
Sunken eyes but gentle smile
We sat down and talked awhile
And he said I can see it in your eyes
You've been hurt a couple times
I've got the perfect antidote
To cure a heart of stone

[Pre-Chorus]
Tiny red pills in a big blue bottle
He put them right in my hands
Said this stuff can do wonders take you to nirvana
Make you a better man
I should've known something was amiss
When I saw his smile turn to a grin
But
Then as he left mĐ”
There so perplДxed
He turned and said
[Chorus]
One to numb the hurt
Two to ease the pain
Three to clear your mind
Forget all the hate
Take as I advised
Not more than prescribed
Several weeks ahead
You'll be fine again
One to numb the hurt
Two to ease the pain
Three to clear your mind
Forget all the hate
Take as I advised
Not more than prescribed
Several weeks ahead
You'll be fine again

[Verse 2]
So I went home
My heart confused
Didn't know just what to do
I popped the cap
And took a dose
After all what could I lose
And then I touched the clouds and bathed in sky
A magic broom a carpet ride
Before I fell and woke in bed
Tried to repeat the words he said

[Chorus]
One to numb the hurt
Two to ease the pain
Three to clear my mind
Forget all my hate
What did he say next
I forget the rest
But several weeks ahead
I'll be fine again
One to numb the hurt
Two to ease the pain
Three to clear my mind
Forget all my hate
Five could never hurt
Just to calm my nerves
Several weeks ahead
I'll be fine again

[Bridge]
Tiny red pills in a big blue bottle
Wish I had the strength back then
Need to get a refill chase away the evil
All the whispers in my head
But I can't find the man I knocked on his door
His neighbours say no one lived there before
So now all my days
Just blur in a haze
They go like this
[Chorus]
One to stop the chills
Two to ease the pain
Three to wash my guilt
Forget all my shame
Five could never hurt
Six couldn't be worse
Seven days it's been
Here we go again
One to stop the chills
Two to ease the pain
Three to wash my guilt
Forget all my shame
Five could never hurt
Six couldn't be worse
Seven days it's been
Here we go again

[Outro]
Here we go again
Here we go again
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
To stop the pain
Forget my shame
Ah-ah
One
Two
Three
Four
Five
Six

You know This song relates so well with people who suffer from depression Taking pills upon pills just to feel something....to feel fine One for anxiety, one for insomnia, one for depression, one for mood disorders, one for overthinking and one to stop the voices
  • When you understand this is not a just a song it is a story and you understand it really dark and deep at end it even getting more dark
  • @Ikarugashi
On one hand it's a good song with a nice melody and tone. On the other hand it depicts addiction so well that even people like me who haven't experienced it understands how it feels.

The most amazing thing about this song is that you dont really register that the prescription never said anything about the 4th pill, so from the start the Protagonist was spiraling and you cant really filter it our since its woven so nicely in the refrain. Thats really impressive !

I really love the lyrics of this song it's amazing hope you enjoy it ^^ ❀
  • The machine beeping at the end---it really sent chills down my body...every word just rang....hurt. Its almost addicting yet dangerously and then painful. In the end, theres no soul, no pain, no life. Its a story...

  • @Austerija
This lyrics is sad and suitable for depressed people they do anything to avoid pain because they had enough and they don't care what happens because they have nothing to lose. No matter where you are, I hope you are/get better. Thank you Eiden for another amazing and wonderful song!❀

This song depicts addiction very well. Honestly I have never found a song that really shows this stuff as well as this one. It starts off seemingly ok and it can start off by someone tempting you aka “the old man” or maybe just temptation from Satan since his sole purpose is to see us fall. And because we’re usually at a low point in life when this happens, we decide “let’s just try it” and without realizing it quickly turns into an addiction and we’re hooked in which if we stay in it, we will probably die to overdose, or we can choose to fight it and overcome it. I mean I used to be hooked on pills when I was 13 up until I was 14-15 then I decided to quit, and I did but dang it is probably the hardest thing I ever went through in my life. And also because of that this song hits me on a personal level and it’s a good song whenever I’m tempted even now only about a year later, (still clean and trying to), because it helps me realize what it can lead to, although ngl even after overcoming it I am tempted to go back simply for the idea of an escape although I know it won’t end well. And honestly for this song I’m so grateful because it’s been helping me in my journey. So thank you so much Rosendale
  • Lost control of his life, and got addicted to the"better feeling"until it kills him
  • I come back for this one every day lately, usually to play it on repeat. I'm one of those psychos that gets in a headspace and just plays one song for hours on end. This is my current favorite. Helps with my writing too as an aside, because I'm delving into the lead characters addiction currently. Such an amazing song.. I like this version better, but I'm just preferencial to Nightcore. Thanks to both creators. I love this song so, so much.

A wise man once said: when you're happy you enjoy the melody, but when you're broken you understand the lyrics 😱
