When you talk of all time Coyote greats, unanimously it is Shane Doan. His name is synonymous with Arizona hockey. The all time leader in games played, goals, assists and points but further, his loyalty and commitment to hockey in the desert is what has cemented his legacy. For a team who missed the playoffs again and doesn't even know it's fate in the state of Arizona, what happened on March 26th was so special, you can't even make it up. Josh Doan, the 37th pick of the 2021 draft officially made his NHL debut for the team his Dad spent his entire career on. Even better? He scored! It was a magical night for Coyotes fans and the for the Doan family. I cover that and more in todays NHL hockey video!

for around 15 years, Larry Fitzgerald and Shane Doan were the 1 & 2 most recognizable sports faces in the valley. He's huge there.Awesome guy.

I've been a Coyotes fan since I was 6 years old when the team first moved to AZ and this was one of the best moments, if not the best moment, in Coyotes history. Right up there with finally getting out of the 1st round in 2012 and retiring Shane's 19.

With all the crap going on in the world it is so refreshing to see a story like this about family and the fulfillment of dreams. Shane Doan was the last player from the original Winnipeg Jets to play in the league, serving as captain for 13 years and showing class his entire career. Obviously he taught his son the same values.

I was in the arena hearing it all but I was playing a scrimmage game on the practice ice adjacent to the main ice. We could tell something special was happening because of the noise. Great video.
