Back with some more rankings and today I will be listing my top 10 NHL defensemen. Like my previous ranking videos this is not solely based on just this season. I will be looking at potential, careers so far, and also what they have done over this season and the last 2-3. Comment other ranking videos you would like to see below and let me know if you want a part two to this one. Subscribe to Jimmy Hockey for more NHL News and Breakdowns and NHL 2024 Highlights.

Do you agree with my list, Would you like to see a part 2 ranking 11-20?
  • @kademanning4628
Having Quinn Hughes at #4 is a comically uninformed take 🤣 In his first year as captain he has the Canucks at the top of the league, not to mention he is leading the league in points among defensemen and has one of the best plus/minus stats in the league. Doesn't take much to see that he is at least #2 on this list.

"Hughes is my pick to win the Norris" I have him at number 4. The disrespect for Hughes is unbelievable.
  • @cantpleasonist
Crazy how Karlsson went from 100 points to not even an honorable mention.
  • @214andydy
Sorry I can’t take you seriously if you don’t have Q Hughes at 2.
  • @jacobboaden2213
I’m not sure which annoys me more. How underrated/under appreciated Josi is, or how overrated/overhyped Fox is.
  • Cool to see you recongnize Dobson. I honestly was wondering if you'd recognize his outstanding contributions to the Islanders this year. I'm glad you see it. He's looking like the best two way defenseman the Isles have had since HOFer Denis Potvin.
  • @CJ-ou1ln
Dahlin got the most points on the sabres by some margin. Offensive players are really letting that team down
  • @kk-en8ns
Makar and Hughes are easy 1 and 2.
  • @ryancrow9672
The rest don’t matter. Makar, fox, and Hughes in any order.
  • @JuandeFucaU
"defensemen..... love them or hate them?" WTF is that supposed to mean? who hates defensemen? dumbest thing I've heard today and I just watched everything Tortorella said.
  • @MJ-1981
Forsling is MILES ahead of Brandon Montour at this point.
  • @Sethstrat
Jacob Slavin is top 10, top 5 even. He’s not an offensive juggernaut, but he is one of the best defenseman in the league.
  • Hughes would be #2 on my least easily and gives Makar a run for his money in the #1 spot.
  • @user-yr7if9rk8g
How is Quinn Hughes at #4 and Jaccob Slavin not on the list
  • @therealsamx4721
I like your top 10, but you should check out on Micheal Matheson with the habs. This guy is a BEAST
  • @akamoofossa4749
Kinda crazy that last years Norris winner isn’t even here…
  • @deleteduser6074
Cale maker gives up over 3 goals per 60 minutes played and contibutes to 4.3 per 60 Fox 1.8 and 4... 1.8 goals against per 60 holy crap this guy is straight insane
  • @Aplestamatos2
I love Fox but he’s not Makar level where he can get hurt miss a bunch of games and still be top 3. He’s had 2 70pt seasons he’s good but not that level yet
