I'm tired of hearing how the United job is "bigger" than the Villa job. Villa arguably have a better squad, a better starting 11, unqestionably better moral, and better owners. United only has a "better history" if you will, but they are also fast becoming history. At Villa, Emery IS the boss. No one is telling him how to run his team. He has the final word. Why would he even think about leaving that for what is almost a dictionary definition of a mess that is United. Even calling it "United" just rings of sarcasm because it seems that from the top to the bottom, they are anything BUT united.

Sky can’t help themselves trying to sell our players even our manager whenever we’re doing well. Do one! Our owners mean business and have done since they took over so deal with it us and Newcastle even West Ham are here to break up that monopoly of the Sky 6 at the top that everyone is sick of as if football was invented in the last 20 years. It wasn’t

Unai won't be going anywhere. Villa's owners have invested money into Real Union, the football club Emery owns along with his father. Emery has all the power at Villa. Don't think he'll make that mistake again with a club in decline like Man Utd.

So I need Manchester United (and to be fair - less Man U itself and more the PUNDITS) to understand that they are not the draw for top players and top managers that they used to be. A history of success does not outweigh a club in disarray on the pitch and off the pitch. Why would Emery leave Aston Villa? He has the backroom staff he wants. He has the sporting Director he wants. He has the freedom to make mistakes. He has complete support from a fan base and players. He has the scouting network he wants. He has control over bringing up Academy players. And he has a club, and ownership, that is completely bought into who he is, his philosophy, and his project. What Manager is walking away from stability, trust, and progression - to go to the very opposite? “It’s Manchester United” doesn’t work like it used to.

  • @flysi01
Not a chance Emery would downgrade to Man Utd
  • What is happening in city is PEP,,he PEP knows how to bring the best out of his players,,and he believes in each and everyone of them. That is the difference between PEP and the rest

Don't know why but I have a feeling Saka will dive for a penalty at Wolves away 😂 City has easier games, except Spurs away. Liverpool can still has a chance too. Except Villa and Spurs.
  • @docca123
if Villa won the quadruple every year SKY would still be trying to sell our manager and players
  • @mzdacasamoah
I wonder how the headlines and punditry would have been if Arsenal had won? Where are the Liverpool can win the league kind of people? One defeat and some fans and pundits are already saying all manner of negative stuff? We wait!

Sky don't like it when a team outside their favourite top 6 is doing well, Villa have a bad habit of selling quality players when they come good because the "big boys" come sniffing around. And admittedly we don't usually have enough of a reason to convince them to stay. What reason would the likes of Emery, Watkins, Bailey or any current Villa player have of turning down European football to go play for UTD? City only got Grealish because of CL football and throwing 100mil at us, Arsenal have more chance of luring Watkins away than UTD because he's a lifelong fan of Arsenal and they play in the CL

I love how sky tried to implement these rumours of a potential move for Emery what they don't understand it he is way too personally invested in Villa he's going nowhere
