The roof line at the rear has a hearse look to it...šŸ¤”šŸ˜

So this Acura is actually a Honda that's actually a GM. At least it's pretty.

D.O.A in Canada no one is going to pay $90K+ (most likely over $100K with taxes) for this.
  • @RaiderTheGhost
With the shape of the roof and the chrome strip this reminds me of a funeral car. Can't unsee. Lol
  • Iā€™m not a Tesla fanboy at all, but when a Model Y is $54k in Canada (plus qualifies for $5k government incentive), has more range, more experience building and supporting EV infrastructure, supercharger network, etcā€¦.how can anyone possibly justify this for over $90k? I can understand some people may prefer this design, but beyond that, the price of this is just wild. If you donā€™t want a Tesla and want a fast EV, the Kia EV6 GT destroys this for the price.

I don't know who's making these decisions at Honda, but I'm so disappointed in them...

That chrome strip on the C-pillar makes it resemble a hearse.
  • They couldnā€™t reprogram the dash sounds to Honda/Acura? If I close my eyes itā€™s all 100% GM

It's a very good looking car, but being based on a GM platform is a big downside, especially for the price. It's like an expensive restaurant meal being made with dollar-store ingredients.

Honda already gave up on the platform and GM collaboration. You'd be crazy to buy this.

Ahh, the references to the OG ZDX. They really were ahead of their time.
  • 2:24 how the roof meets the quarter glass with the sliver strip, gives me Hearse funeral car vibes
  • @HTrot
Side profile with black roof and chrome trim reminds me of a hearst. Once you see it you cannot unsee it.
  • Yesss I am not the only one that dislike black wheels. Slick silver wheels are much much awesome and luxurius.

It's a Cadillac Lyriq. Built along side the Lyriq in a GM factory. There's very little Acura anything to this. It's quite sad that Honda / Acura needed GM to come out with an EV, not just any EV but to bring back the ZDX name. Acura themselves are hoping that loyalist aren't aware they are buying a GM product. Acura technicians aren't trained to work on this. So in the end, why not just save some money, buy the GM version? Another disappointment from the Acura brand. Their partnership already ended.. Such a joke at this point.

Was the herse looking swoop on the side supposed to indicate "dead on arrival?"

In the end, Ultium is a solid platform. Weā€™ll see the winner in 5yrs.. still think hybrids shouldā€™ve came first.
