Honestly I've always thought that Harry Potter should have been a mini TV series so they wouldn't have to cut a lot of important details and scenes to fit the 2.5 hour mark for a movie

Many of you complaining how they don't want a remake and there already the movies. Well speak for yourselves cuz many of us wants a faintful adaptation of the book and the tv will do justice to the books ( hopefully). As for those complaining why they don't expand he world , well they did with fantastic beasts and it didnt turn out well so why would they waste time and resources taking risks. Companies are not charity , they need to make money too.

This sounds interesting. Of course because I love Harry Potter. But I wish that it would be a different story with different characters. Maybe set in the past or in the future. If they're not going to have the same actors play their roles again. I just don't think it will be the same.

After reading the comments, I see that nobody has read the Series Info that has been released. This show is NOT a reboot. It sounds like the show will follow characters who had limited screen time in the novels and chapters that were cut for time. As a huge fan of both the films & novels, I think this show should be a companion piece and coexist alongside the films in the same continuity.
