Even if we're just dancing in the dark

I was in line for 7 hours while 8 months pregnant to get tickets to see Bruce. In ‘88. It began to rain and everyone was standing outside ( me sitting in a lawn chair), when they told everyone to come back tomorrow. They had a big box and asked you to draw a number from the box. That number signified where we were to be in line the next day. I was very happy as it put me much closer to the front of the line than where I was. I bought a black top and put big white lettering on it that said, “This baby is dancing in the dark” and wore it to the concert. People guided me up to the front where I was dancing with my big pregnant belly. Clarence Clemons was playing sax as he saw me. He pointed me out to Bruce. Bruce was very pleased and began to serenade me dancing back and forth while I was. Best concert moment for me ever!!

Only an honorable good man respectfully brings his mother on stage❤

In the 80´s, he was dancing with the most beautiful girls of the first row. Decades later, nowerdays, he dances with his mother and his youngest sister. What a gentleman, he aged like a fine wine. That´s how you do it, guys!

Rest in peace to Adele Springsteen. You raised a beautiful son and it was lovely to see you dance.

I'm 55 years old, whining like a baby when Bruce inviting mom for a dance in the dark. Mrs. Springsteen: thank you so much for bringing that man to the world.
  • When the crowd is cheering when his mom comes to the stage...That's a proud moment for human kind. There's a lot of love to give as well in this world.

This was the first video I came to after hearing the news of Adele Springsteen’s passing. This performance is such a beautiful moment between a mother and son. RIP Mrs. Springsteen 🙏🏻
  • Came here as soon as I heard the news of Adele Springsteen's passing. I always thought Bruce was about my Dad, turned out he was all about my Mum. RIP
  • How can you not get emotional when you see this video, not only it is an ICONIC song, but when you see his kindness to his mother, his love and the way he treats her, and later to his baby sister, you do remember that family is the foundation of every good human being! Then you add the amazing talent this man has and the result is just superb!!
  • I am the driver of a 40-ton truck, when I hear this song we fly through the air... greetings from Poland

What an absolute blessing, to do this with your mother, in front of such adoring fans.

So Sorry to hear your mom died. Losing our mothers is hard. This is my favorite video of her with you.

A bloke, his mum, his baby sister, the son of his best mate and thousands of people. Does life get better ? It is wonderful! And the song is beautiful. Never forget that Bruce is one of the greatest songwriters in history.

This song gave me my 15 minutes ( and much more ) of fame...in 1985 i attended a week long residential event hosted by the Prince's Trust, geared towards helping young people choose their career path...on the last day the then Prince Charles attended and a disco was set up in his honour...now I wanted to give my mum a surprise and asked the cameramen filming the event how I could get on TV...They said ask him( Prince Charles) to dance...The dj put this my favourite song at the time on and I thought to myself it's now or never, so I did ask him to dance and he did dance with me to this very song....my mum certainly got a surprise when she put the national news on and when she saw my photo of the occasion on the front page of The Times the next morning!...Thank you Bruce and King Charles for giving me my moment in the spotlight and my very unique claim to fame...✨️...Rest in peace Adele...🙏...we love you Bruce...💜

I just love this man. He gets better looking with age and his voice is still amazing. I would love to see him in concert. I literally started crying when I saw him bring his mama on stage with him. Such a proud moment for Bruce. I hate to hear of her passing. Losing our mama’s is the worst heartbreak there is.❤️💔

Bruce Springsteen was not in my favorites when I was in the middle of my life, being a young mother. Now I am 85 and I am hooked. Every evening I listen to the dancing in the dark, the rhythm of it is outstanding. When he was just getting stardom with his first edition, it makes me young again to listen to it,,,,now I am listen to the later version. It shows his energetic face and all his memories of stardom printed into it.I must be crazy, but I still love the very first version. It makes me think I am a teenager again. Thank You, Sir...!!!!!! I just had a hip replacement surgery and I recovered quickly, because I was dancinf in the dark holding on to my dinner table.Your music fan Karin .

As a drummer for 53 years, Max Wienberg is the most solid pocket drummers I've ever seen. Tight and just loud enough.

Its incredible to think this man is in his seventies now and still selling out stadiums all over the world and still sounding as good as he did 40 years ago. Just incredible
