I have the Master Edition Eversolo and after watching this excellent video I simply cannot wait for my Ares 12th and DDC to arrive.

In my experience LPS-A6 brings the A6 into another level, like Mr. Hyde originally and Dr Jekyll now with the LPS, still the DAC and internal preamp with OpAmps tends to keep it from the absolute best sound. As a streamer only with LPS was an absolute surprise! A heavy hitter. Very close to Innuos Zenith, a little different on tone density, particular space cues, but of course that’s a way over $5.000 US and no internal DAC, no preamp. You draw your own conclusions. Comes very close

Is there any improvement in sound if you take the DMP-A6 Master Edition with better clock instead of the DMP-A6 Standard version, connected via USB to a Denafrips Venus? Thank you

Hi Alvin, great review.... i have the Pontus2 dac. Does it make sense to het the dmp-a6 master edition? Or just the standard model will do if paired with my pontus2? Appreciate your thoughts on this... thanks

I have been running the Eversolo A6 and the ARES II since the release of the A6. From the moment I paired the two I knew it was my new reference. Amazing versatility in the A6 and you can fine tune your sound depending on how you send the ARES the signal. I prefer USB as Alvin spoke about. I concur with Alvin’s statements. Hey Alvin, we’re excited to get the ARES 12th in for review and the LPS for the eversolo😊!! Any idea on arrival dates of the two? Cheers and great review. Our reference system sits about $15K for reference as Alvin was mentioning price point. Currently Prima Luna Dialogue Premium, DMPA6, Ares II, Klipsch Forte, REGA P3, Denon 301, Project S-B3, Pine tree audio cables and power cables, Mogami 2549 XLR, AfAudio interconnects. We would love to put the new denafrips streamer in our reference system, for a review. 😊😊😊

If I am going to use my Ares II (or eventually upgrade to Pontus or Venus) as the DAC does it make any sense to get the Master Edition? I will use this with Roon and have many DSD files on SSdrives. Also, I2S is a preferred connection but, the Eversolo doesn't have I2S, would adding a Denafrips Iris make sense or is it overkill?

As a transport only, is the Eversolo good enough to pair with the Denafrips Venus 12th, Terminator 12th and above to realize their potential? Or would the Eversolo be a weak link? Assume speakers and amps would be quality and price appropriate to the particular Denafrips dac. Thank you.

Anyone have opinions on the Eversolo DMP-A6 versus a Lumin U1 mini into my Denafrips Pontus II DAC? The DMP-A6 sounds amazing with the Pontus II as it is, but have been curious about Lumin and if it would provide any sonic improvements. Thoughts?

Would love to see a video on the Eversolo configuration for use with with Pontus II. Settings like EOS, external DAC setting and others that affect the Pontus II input LEDs, i.e. 41.1/48 and the multipliers.

Maybe I missed it but is this with or without the linear power supply? Does the linear power supply has any advantage when only used as a transport? Thanks 😊

That’s exactly how I use it A6 ME - DDC Iris - Pontus 2 , sounds fine to me. Later upgrade the power supply.

Will you ever offer an option to get upgraded clock and op amps to standard edition? Willing to mail to get upgrades

Good to know that you're gonna test Volumio Rivo+Pontus2 1(2th ed.) vs Eversolo+Pontus2 (12 ed.), because i'm about to buy those ones as an upgrade of my iFi Zen stream+Ares2 (upgrated) combo. I just wait for the FPGA upgrade of my Ares2 for selling...

Do you know if future releases of the ever solo DMP A6 will be shipped with the new linear power supply installed? Or will you always have to purchase it separately?

Is the a6 better or worse with the third party power supply or is it just the same? Happy to receive comment replies from subscribers and the like

Alvin, can you suggest settings on the DMPa6, native DSD, PCM, etc.. also since there is no MQA support on Denafrips dacs, what are thr best settings? The DMP-A6 can up sample to 192k, do you recommend letting the A6 do it or the denfrips DAC OS/NOS modes?

Just to agree with the main thrust of the video. When used as a digital transport into an external DAC such as the Pontus 12th ed, the DMP-A6 sounds just fantastic. I await the LPS upgrade to see if it gets even better, but maybe the main improvement will be in the performance of the internal DAC ?
