Explore the head-scratching problem of dandruff, and find out why it happens, and how it can be treated.

--

On top of our heads, there is a type of yeast that lives and dines on all of our scalps. Feasting constantly, it’s in paradise. And in about half of the human population, its activity causes dandruff. So, why do some people have more dandruff than others? And how can it be treated? Thomas L. Dawson explores this head-scratching problem.

  • My God, I didn’t know dandruff was so complicated. I thought my scalp was just dry.
  • Ultimate routine for good hair and preventing hair fall and dandruff. 1. Scalp massage 2. Brushing using a neem wood comb 3. Don't opt for tight hairstyles 4. Avoid too much heat styling 5. Sun protection 6. Keep yourself hydrated 7. Healthy diet 8. Proper sleep 9. Deep conditioning treatment. After oiling, wrap your hair in a warm towel for sometime 10. Applying warm oil on the hair and frequent cleansing with herbal oil and shampoo cleanser from littleextrra cocoonioon 11. All my life has been a lie when my mother told me that Dandruff is caused by not properly rinsing away the shampoo on your hair

I guess that "How to get rid of dandruff" in the title was just to play with emotions of all the humans
  • I had dandruff til 16. Then i started eating well (before mostly junk food. From then started eating more fruit vegetables, therefore introducing vitamins fibers and minerals, and cutting some sugar). Dandruff disappeared (and so constipation. I used to evacuate once in 3 days, so i solved that too). Then, at the age of 20, during a bad anxiety/depressing period of my life, dandruff started again. This is my experience. Eating well solved my dandruff first time. If you have this problem, and eat not well (mostly unhealthy like i did) you cam try a better diet (also for havimg a better health in general)

Thanks for the animated video.I've suffered many years with dandruff & other scalp issues.I still deal with dandruff, but much less.I read somewhere, that junk foods contribute to dandruff.I read that a lack of water, can make dandruff worst! I believe that a poor diet, can also make dandruff worst.I push myself to drink more water.I have yet to drink as much water,as I need.I'll have to think of sneeky ways,to get myself,to consume more water.Washing hair with hot water, may cause more dandruff.I say, that a balanced diet/life is the answer. If you see a bit of dandruff, nip it in the bud.
