New video title for 2021: “most expensive workbench you can make!”
  • Even though you made the mistake by putting tape on but I admire the fact you didn’t edit that out. I appreciate it as no one is perfect! Love the content. God bless.

This is the third video I've noticed you used a banjo cover of "nothing else matters" as an intro. Awesome.
  • I've run through miles of all threaded Rod being a commercial plumber hanging pipes. You can either take your pliers and just pop off the uneven part on the end that we got pretty good at over the years or if you're doing a bunch of them at one time just take them over to the bench grinder and do one rotation of the all thread rod on the bench grinder to clean at the end of the rod so that the nut will go on easy. I like this little how to series on this bench. Thinking I might do a 10-footer like this

Searched for new work bench, clicked on thumbnail, heard Metallica, hit pause. Subscribed. 🤘🤙

Watching this video in 2022 and I laughed / cried when he said 2.50 framing material. Also the amount of extra steps taken in building this is just baffling

Writing to express a sincere thank you for creating this playlist. I will be building myself this workbench. I plan to start this build in the next week or two (depending on how my kids soccer seasons plays out. Having multiple kids playing on the same Saturday can quickly erase said Saturday and really shorten my free time for work projects. The fact you've made a playlist of this build makes it easy for me to come back and review your build. I can then build it at my pace. Thank you again for making a video of this build.

It's awesome to see something built to last , so many things are disposable now.

You gave some great advice at the outset: “after a year or so of working on, you’ll forget about all this fussing around” (quote is approximate). That is very sensible because while everyone wants to do a good job, it is, after all, a WORKbench and not a Stradivarius violin.

Been watching a few years now, I think you have the best content for viewing and an inspiration to what men should still be able to do. I’m watching this bench series as I’m currently building mine in the garage my wife and I have built this summer. I miss the longer videos but keep the videos coming!
  • @evanantin
Love the acoustic "Nothing Else Matters" in the intro!

I really like your videos you're probably one of my most favorite YouTubers to watch. I know a little bit about everything but I'm a master of none I know just enough to work my way through it. Today is April 5 , I've cut down some trees and I'm actually going to use the little Saw Mill for the first time today I've cut down some trees cleaning off my property. I also and fighting not drinking your family ought to be very proud of you I have in one week since I have isolated myself daring this virus I can see myself being more productive getting up earlier and a lot of it had to do with you telling your story on YouTube thank you Todd from Mississippi

Very nice!!! Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy the videos where you are building something and explaining the process. I’m in the middle of setting up my shop in my garage. Very helpful

Those are the straightest, Most squared edge 2x4's I've ever seen.
  • @RPSchonherr
I made a bench like this 20 years ago. i didn't glue it and I cut in slots in 4 boards at an angle for the legs. Not being glued I was able to take it apart when I moved 2 times. I also only used 3 rods to hold it together, 2 of which go through the legs.
  • @MindbodyMedic
Combine 50 of these to build a log cabin that'll last 25,000 years. that's how the math works right?
  • @jaclamac1
I just did this build because of this video. 36”x6’ top. Took 2x6 ripped in half. Total panic at the end during assembly. LOL 😂 come out good and solid! Thank you sir!
  • @ArthA122
