The award is bestowed upon individuals who have made an impact on the arts and served as role models at Juilliard and the performing arts community.

    I was kept, prevented, sabotaged from accepting my acceptance into Julliard in 1981 and have been keeping my eyes on Julliard for an opening to present itself to me. I'm now 54 but these videos keep me hoping. I'm waiting for the Jazz Vocals auditions to start & I'll be there.
