If you notice bird’s form when he shoots is one of a kind. His hand is sort of behind his head at the beginning of his shot. I’ve never in my life seen anyone with this technique. Almost as if he cups the ball in his hand and creates a huge arc. Literally the smoothest release I have ever seen in the history of basketball.

I think he’s the most influential player ever. Curry, Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Mark Price, Klay Thompson all wouldn’t have that play style if it wasn’t for bird. A legend.

As a kid Bird became of my favorite players and he never left that spot. Definitely one of the most elite greats that is just still so underrated today. Anyone who watched him play though knows a different story.
