The Mainline has the Dutch NTA-8776 rating.. The only Ebike certified for up to 28mph impact..This is the highest safety rating given to bicycle helmets.. The only rating higher is the DOT and SNELL given to motorcycle helmets.. and motorcycle helmets are much heavier unless you spend $599 on a carbon fiber model... I can't find any bicycle shops that carry the Mainline.. And i really need to try one on to know it will fit my head. I tried the Bell, POC, Fox and other full face helmets, but i couldn't get it to clear my unique head shape. I can't justify spending $300+ on the hopes it will work. Helmets have to be tried on to get the correct fit.
  • Had a Smith overtake for roadwork - saved me once build quality on Smith way ahead of others - wanted a full face for MTB and went with Poc - bit hot even in UK summer so when I retire my TLD a1 next summer I’ll be going with Smith
  • Have you tried longer, more intense climbing with it? How's its ventilation? Thinking about buying this or the Kali Invader. One is more breathable, other is probably safer.

Thx for the review. Do you think it would be ok for enduro races in hot climates?

i got an ad for this helmet and i'm considering it for my summerboard (an electric skateboard with bindings that gets up to 25-27 mph), would you recommend this helmet for that?

Just curious if you wear the same size, medium, for both the forefront and mainline?
  • How has this helmet been for you? I've heard some people complain about the MIPS noise. Do you feel like that's bothersome at all?

Do you think that the mainline is heavy duty enough for the bike park?

Putting on a full face helmet, just pull both straps outward to open up the helmet to receive your head. then pull it on with straps.. Otherwise, the helmet will crunch your ears and face.. To remove: grab the straps and pull outward to lift it off. This makes it easier to put on and take off. Cheers
