  • "Best Confusing Science Toys That Will Definitely Confuse You" Were these toys cleverly invented by clever inventors who cleverly invent clever things? And were they carefully made by careful makers who make things carefully? I'm sure this video will be viewed with interest by interested viewers who are interested.

My great grandfather did a lot of woodworking and made a trammel of archimedes where the moving pieces never extended beyond the frame. I played with that thing a lot as a kid

When you put money into something with a supreme logo you just end up losing money.

The Trammel of Archimedes is actually useful - you can use it to draw ellipses. We have one in the wood shop I work at. I didn't know that increasing the number of shuttles would increase the sharpness of the ellipse drawn, that's cool.
  • Oh my Lord, thank you SO much, you helped me solve a 14 year old riddle my 5th grade science teacher showed the class that nobody could solve, if I ever do meet Mr. Tyner again, I’ll tell him it’s a mirascope and get my $5

6:01 Ah, I see. The illusion is not the object itself but the video of it taken from a carefully-chosen angle.

So cool gadgets. I wish someone would show these to flat earthers who say you can always trust your senses. Great video and music fits it perfectly.
  • It has larger mass in the bottom Like boxing baby toy (I mean sand bag inflatable toy )
  • @tcatking9761
9:11 call me crazy but... i think, there might be a small chance that it could have a weight on the bottom, maybe. 🤷‍♀️ id

Each toy is really amazing and illustrates some fantastic physics and 3D geometry. Love the way the 2 parabolic mirrors still work when you shine the laser! Fundemental physical laws seem just as amazing. Really stunning. Thanks.

My two grown-up kids are 24 and 21 so I'm a bit old for toys. Now, where's my credit card?

My favourite is the 5 shuttle Archimedes trail, I just love the way all of the lines flow up and down :]
  • Re Trammel of Archimedes: years ago I worked for a UK sculptor named Alan Boyson, and in 1974 he brought something like this into the studio calling it a’Bullshit Grinder’ It had been made by somebody unknown. We both thought it was very apt and funny.
