We tore a camper down and made a tiny house. It took about 6 months from start to finish. My wife and I both work full time so it was a challenge. Thanks for watching. Like and subscribe for more.

Thank you for sharing this. I have a Travel Trailer that sustained a lot of water and snow damage while I was out of state. I kept the trailer beause I have wanted to turn it into a tiny house. I am happy to see that someone else was able to do this. Now I can show this video to family members who think I am crazy for my plans.. lol I want to keep it on wheels because where I live in Alaska there are a lot of forest fires. This would allow me to pull my home to safety if needed.
  • The way things are in this world today..... Building out a home like this is worth it's wait in gold.... A roof over a person's head these days means everything..... You did a really good job on this build , it turned out great

It is really great to see a camper turned into a tiny home. It means more people can convert their campers into a tiny home once they retire from all the travelling.

A trailer is something you tow, hence trail (behind you)-er; a camper is not towed, it rests upon/within and connected to a vehicle and not trailing behind like a trail-er. Your beautiful home is made from a trailer. 😊

Epoxy over foam panels for the shower is genius, and it looks great!

I think the shower was the best part of the build. Looks good and super smart having the faucet in there to effectively make it a utility sink to fill a mop bucket. 👍

I can’t imagine the range of emotions you all went thru, thinking it was a fixer up, realizing it wasn’t, and designing a tiny home. Great outcome!
  • If you're happy with your home.. then no one else should complain! I think you did a great job using the Camper, turning an unusable place into a nice place to live😊

You all did a great job building this. It turned out great 👍 I'll talk to your dad about it next time we talk. So proud of you cuz!!!
  • Super cool! I was going to do the same thing with an old camper I had bought when I was a sophomore in high school, but after really looking it over it’s not a heavy duty enough frame. It was built in 1974, so before HUD codes. The frame is more lightweight as is the build of the original camper, so it wouldn’t be able to adequately support additional weight. It’s also not as wide as a modern camper, so it’d be super tight with thicker walls. I’m going to sell the frame and she’ll of it this spring/summer. I live in a 1988 Terry Resort 24 ft camper that I redid and have been living in it since sept 2019 :)
  • Your shower came out incredible. The epoxy shower walls blew my mind! Genius!

Good memories. Video turned out good too. The epoxy shower is still my favorite

I'm really loving how so many people are choosing to live a mortgage/debt free (unconventional) life. A home truly is what you make it! This is a gorgeous home! I honestly cannot wait to live in a tiny home someday. I dream about it constantly, lol. God willing, it'll happen sometime soon, along with a community for the homeless 🙏🏾 🏠

The shower is the best part the way that you built it and made it your own is awesome
  • Most "stick and tin" RVs are framed out of 1-1/8" x 1-1/2" or 1-1/2" x 1-1/2", maybe a little 2x3 around doors and windows. I see why you tore it down and built it back up with standard framing lumber. Nice job Frank!

I would love to know more about the foam panels and epoxy in the shower. Gorgeous BTW!
  • wow looks fantastic. I just bought a 35 ft Trailer that has been sort of converted, but needs a lot of things. The floor is very spongy in spots. I have been hunting for recommendations. And a channel that will have the answers when other questions come up. It would be awesome to totally convert like you did but frankly it gave me a panic of sorts knowing how much work (and money) this would involve!!
