As my mother declined from dementia, she always knew what Ghost was. It made me smile. She forgot much, but she remembered that I loved Ghost.

In the past 48 hours I've gone from barely being aware of this band's existence to mildly intrigued to full-blown obsession. Yup, this is some good shit, alright.

This is the catchiest song of Impera. I just can't stop singing it, and I know I'm not the only one. Easily top 10 Ghost song. Great sound, great lyrics. Simply perfect.

OMG, how is this not the lead single? Catchy as all hell. If this was 1985, this would be EVERYWHERE!

There's nothing like the feeling of falling in love with a song before even finishing it for the first time

Epic album from every aspect. Each song different. Well written and addictive chorus. Dudes a genius

“And I ain’t talking about forgiveness” my favourite line in this album so far!

My dad just passed away a little over a week ago. He got to listen to this album before he left. We both love ghost. This song is definitely my favorite. I was so close to playing He Is during his funeral and I wish I had now.

Intro to Spillways sounds like Runaway by Bon Jovi or Hold the Line by Toto. Chorus sounds like Poison by Alice Cooper (especially the backup vocals) and Dancin' in the Ruins by Blue Oyster Cult, both of which uses the same chords and progression as Spillways. Really catchy song!
  • ALL YOUR FAITH AAL YOUR RAGE ALL YOU PAIN IT AINT OVER NOW favorite lyric of all time 🤩

Im a die hard metalhead, borderline hipster when it comes to my metal, but I cant deny that Ghost puts out some damn good songs. Idc if theyre "soft" or considered "posers" by my fellow metal gatekeepers. They have a clear talent with songwriting and I'm tired of acting like they dont put out great music. Before I was a metalhead edgelord, I grew up with 80's hair bands thanks to my parents. Ghost feels like a modern day 80's metal band and had they been around back then, I think they would have enjoyed even greater monumental success. I genuinely enjoy when their songs come on the radio. Shout out 98Rock Baltimore.
  • It’s like all of your fave bands rolled into one beautiful black box with a big bow on top! On repeat……
  • Lyrics: Through benediction You tried to rid your mind Of malediction But through all this time You tried to peel it off And it's such a ride Your desolation Led you into this Vile incarnation Of consummated bliss I know you need it now To make you feel alive All your faith All your rage All your pain It ain't over now And I ain't talking about forgiveness All your faith All your rage All your pain It ain't over now It's the cruel beast that you feed It's your burning yearning need to bleed Through your spillways You keep a casket Buried deep within You try to mask it But fall back in sin You wanna shake it off But you're stuck inside When stripped of rags Of skin and spine Human decay Corpus dei Terminally dispelled And it's such a ride All your faith All your rage All your pain It ain't over now And I ain't talking about forgiveness All your faith All your rage All your pain It ain't over now It's the cruel beast that you feed It's your burning yearning need to bleed Through the spillways Through the spillways of your soul Through the spillways Spillways, spillways It's the cruel beast that you feed It's your burning yearning need to bleed Through the spillways Through the spillways of your soul Through the spillways Through the spillways of your soul Through the spillways Through the spillways of your soul Through the spillways Through the spillways of your soul

This song is literally just Spooky ABBA and you can't tell me otherwise
  • @Chetallica
So unique, they sound like no one else out there. The closest I can come to is Blue Oyster Cult meets 70's pop, meets 80's early 90's hardrock/metal. Just amazing! My fave cut from the new album :)

My favorite! Such a great melody, harmonies beautiful. I love the other singers on this album 🖤
