  • Simon, as a syrian who’s been a fan of yours for a while, thank you for showing this side of Syria which reflects the kindness of the people in it. Hope you had a good time :)
  • It's insane to see the transformation of Simon Wilson videos from sneaking into events in the USA, backpacking across Australia, to now getting into Syria, going to North Korea, bushbashing in Ethiopia. Love your work mate!
  • I’m from London and this part of Syria looks cleaner and prettier than the borough I live in
  • It's very considerate of Simon to put Bald at ease by dressing like a Gopnik. Probably made Bald think he was in the Soviet block.
  • "I never in my life did I think I'd be going to Syria" considering this is coming from a man who's been to Sinaloa, North Korea, and Transnistria...I think you and I both knew you'd be going to Syria eventually. You go to more off the beaten path destinations and that's a great thing because unlike many you're giving these places a chance
  • i'm more then glad to see peace in syria, lots of love from Pakistan to syrian brothers and sisters.
  • I went to Syria 24 times between 1998 and 2010. Cycled through the country singlehandedly as well. Absolutely a fantastic country that I consider the most hospitable of the +80 countries I have been to so far.
  • It still surprises me video's can feel so different. After watching Bald's earlier and Yours now, it almost feels like your not in the same place for the majority of the trip. Its not just this one, other collaborations in the past all over the world with different creators often gives the total opposite view and feel. It just proves the point, no matter where you are and what is happening around you, the person next to you is not having the same experience as you despite what you imagine.
  • Never been to Syria, but I am blessed to have met Syrians here in the West. Amazing people! The friendliest, most hospitable bunch you'll meet.
  • Welcome to Syria❤❤ Hope you guys enjoy and visit Lattakia with its beautiful beach and people❤ Thanks for coming and showing the world the real Syria❤
  • Syria has always been a great friend to us since the 1960s. We've helped build a nuclear reactor for them but it was unfortunately destroyed by an Israeli airstrike in 2007
  • Love to see the different style in video footage and vlogging between Simon and Bald. Like watching two different trips.
  • Good to watch syria 🇸🇾 normal life people. Loved it. Thanks for making us tour Syria 🇸🇾 online along with you
  • Well done! Uncovering and showing people how different places are to how the world wants them to be perceived! keep up the good work
  • That was fun. In 2009, I was touring around Europe with my family in a car. We went to Turkey, and then decided to keep going through Syria. The border was a little difficult, took us 2 days to pass through, but the people at the border were very friendly, they all wanted to drink tea with us. Once in Syria, it was very much the same, we were a little cautious (healthily so perhaps), but again, the people there welcomed us.
  • Happy Days Mate!!! Best content ever and Simon always keeps us on our toes. Eager to see the next episode. Cheers!!!
  • As a half Syrian, British born man it's so refreshing to finally see some positivity coming out of Syria for a change. I'm very glad that despite the previous conflict the Syrian people haven't lost their hospitality, warmth and generosity. Hopefully your video inspires many more people to explore the beautiful and historic country, so that they too can change their outlook.
  • That guy that said "be careful" directly after the Footy game was so sincere. Syrains seem so inviting and genuine
