In this video, I’ll do a few quicksketch studies of the average loomis head from different angles.

  • I started my career change as an artist by watching Proko's tutorial series, this was back in 2015. Now, it's 2022, I'm now a professional artist working on a video game studio and it's been a pleasant experience to revisit/relearn stuff from your channel. My humble beginnings started on this channel! Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication!

Wow! That helped a ton!!! It was quick and easy and looked natural the first try. Now I just need to do it 1000 x to develop a muscle memory for the natural lines. Looking forward to eventually studying the whole body. Thank you!!!

Iron Man's helmet is just a Loomis head with red and yellow chrome, change my mind.
  • Woah... Learning is real. I'm amazed how realistic my sketches look. This is amazing method and an amazing teacher.
  • This is literally my third time watching this. Well you know what they say, third time's the charm, wish me luck.

I feel so grateful that my Dad let me borrow his copy of "Figure Drawing for All It's Worth" (1948)! Loomis, Rockwell and the giants at Marvel comics were all the rage for me! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! You ROCK!

OH MY GOD THIS IS SO HELPFUL! I’ve recently been feeling so bothered with my method because it would leave my head shapes so unproportionate and finally I found a method that works well! I will definitely be looking into more of Loomis’ method, thank you for sharing this.
  • I come here to start a new hobby during this self quarantine 😄. Hope y'all are safe and healthy folks 💛💛

I just did the portrait course this year, brought my portraits to a whole nother level, Happy to see you revisiting it, as I was considering running through it again to strengthen the lessons. The first charcoal portrait I did after taking the course won our regional fine arts exhibition! Thanks, Stan!

  • You absolutely need to know that you are a God of your field of interest, so simply explained, I've literally never been to such a great teacher on YouTube. 💜✨
  • Hi - I'm so delighted to discover you and your videos this morning! I am referring all my drawing students - I can demo in class, but this way they can review and replay what they need without having to try to see around my hand, other students, etc. Love your friendly, easy to watch approach. I'm a fan already ❣️
