Modest Mouse - Trucker's Atlas (You'll See)

Published 2015-09-03
Live performance of Trucker's Atlas from 1999 in which the band also played a portion dubbed "You'll See".

Can be found at modestmouselive.zeromethos.com/shows/11-19-99%20HU…

I'd always wondered where the latter portion of this came from, so I did a bit of research and was very excited when I finally found this.

  • I wish i was smart or eloquent enough to express the way the drums flow through this song well. Unrelenting but never messy. RIP Jeremiah, one of the best.

I have been to several Modest Mouse shows and listened to even more recordings. This is some of the best quality I have ever heard. I love them dearly, but most of the time they are pretty muddy live. Wish I was there to see this!
  • I heard Truckers Atlas live in the early 2000's at the Filmore in SF. Always been my favorite song.

Isaac sounds like hes foaming at the mouth.
  • no fucking way...I used to listen to You'll See every single night, and to this day its still one of my favorite MM songs. I've always wanted to hear the full track, thanks so much.

Should seen them at the norva in va early 2000's. He stopped the concert mid song during cockroach because dudes were moshing to hardcore around some chick. Then he asked if anyones ever been arrested for picking mushrooms off the fire house lawn. Then ripped off his belt and started playing the guitar with it. Would of been cool to have it recorded but cell phones back then didn't have cameras.

Probably one the most influential lyricism to grace mankind. Portraying his point as a trucker who is lost and the constant play on words for reflection on a lost individual dealing with depression and how one can just flow on n on until "they'll see" as if it's a point if. Eung to late to change you'll just see...

It amazes me how Isaac literally went from rambling about how someone killed their mom and he doesn’t know why to you’ll see lmao
