I recently bought a new home with my brother and thought I would bring you and my cat round for the tour. Using a mixture of 'before' video and 'after' renders I bought from Fiverr interior designers and architects, you can see our plans for this place. Planning to film as much of this renovation process as I can, so be sure to stick around and subscribe if you want to see how it all turns out.

If you’re reading this and NOT subscribed, please take a second to scroll back up and hit that big juicy subscribe button. I’d really love to hit one billion subscribers and then retire with 48 cats. 🤠
  • Skip the trendy, expensive fridge. For a pop of color (which is always fun) maybe choose colorful small appliances for the counter or a colorful small dining table/chairs since those are much easier and cheaper to replace. Both of those might look best with a more modern kitchen style.

something about youtubers documenting their home/building progress makes me absolutely feral. i cannot express how much i love that type of content, so i will be eager to see what comes of this project. and i love your inclusion of all those details and sharing the full capacity of the home, it's like you understand exactly what my brain was hoping to see. thank you, keep it up!

I have one thing to say about the garden, or anywhere, if you have stairs, have handrails! You've already fallen on your own stairs even though they do have handrails, but it becomes important to have them as people age, or if they have any kind of mobility problems due to arthritis, injury, etc. And they can be stylish looking. Also, cats will climb over fences and wander. There are fences that don't allow a cat to jump out and also prevent other critters from climbing in. Personally, and because you're in Scotland with dark winters, I'd go for light colors and if you enjoy it, mixing vintage or antique things with modern things - it's a fun mixture.

The wry humor just makes my heart happy. So glad to learn you did not "kill an angular man."

The view from the back garden is worth the money alone. Looking forward to seeing this progress.
  • @PokhrajRoy.
When it comes to the kitchen, it has to be properly ventilated and light because you want it to be properly lit at all times of the day.

Since Scotland’s winters can be quite chilly, I would recommend enclosing your shower fully with glass to keep the steam in and keep you warm while you shower. The open showers look great but just try opening the door or pulling back the curtain when you’re in your shower next time and you’ll very quickly want to close it again!
  • I think the dark kitchens at the moment are a short-term trend and actually can show up marks more than lighter colours. I see plants in your living room too bringing the garden in. Light kitchens and plants on open dark wood shelves look amazing.
  • @PokhrajRoy.
I died at “phallic nature of our house…” 😂
  • Hi George! Firstly, congratulations on the beautiful home, I am very excited to see how it will turn out and will be following your journey closely. Secondly, I am very grateful for the opportunity to design your kitchen and toilet and look forward to working with you again!
  • I enjoy your calm demeanor and your sense of humor. It’s really relaxing to watch your videos.
  • I would go light and traditional for the kitchen. I like your plans for the bedrooms and absolutely love the plans for the garden. Looking forward to watching this renovation. 😊
  • For the kitchen I'd say go traditional but open. I love making my apartment feel cozy all year, and modern styles don't always convey that
  • Traditional light kitchen you can not go wrong with. Never goes out in style.

Junior is a content machine! Love the new house, hope the remodel goes well

This is such a cool idea. I had no idea it was that easy to hire designers. Thanks so much for making the vid!

I put heated floor panel in my bathroom renovation. Love it in winter. It wasn't expensive. The only problem was cracked ceramic tile in unheated threshold between heated and cold laundry area. It should have had a transition piece.
  • ❤ the new place! if you’re located near a car paint shop they should be able to spray any fridge any color you wish for a much cheaper price tag, to get the exact “POP” of color you are looking for in your kitchen.
