Is this different than Chromecast with Google TV in 4k? They're the same price and seem to do the same thing. Maybe the added function as a smart speaker?
-
That find my remote feature is what really stuck out to me. I also like how the remote is much more filled out and substantial looking. I especially love the built-in smart speaker functions and adaptable quick access button.

I just got the Pro 2 days ago and got excited using a USB port. So far i really love it

You and Mr. Mobile are my go to for reviews
-
Nice reviews of both. I almost returned mine, but kept it when I learned how to sideload Tennis Channel. Love that it displays flash-drive videos and custom launchers too. Great device.
-

It's insane how smooth even the basic 1080p Chromecast feels compared to whatever garbage comes built into the lg TV I have haha

Thanks for you comments about "Continue Watching"...I've been very surprised at how poorly that works. Seems it should be something Google would excel at, instead, just a lot of dissaporintment!

Good job on the video Shane! I too was very surprised by the performance at the price point. I've been a long time Firestick owner, but this performs so much better than my 4K Max: picture quality, speed, not laggy and much much better curation of videos and media to watch! The only problem I've noted so far is that if you use Bluetooth Headphones, the audio over then is choppy and distorted while connected. I did some troubleshooting, and determined the issue is with the included remote. I took the battery out of the remote, and used the remote in Google Home on my phone as a workaround, and when I do that, there is no problem with the audio. To rule out Bluetooth interference, I completely covered the remote in aluminum foil except for the front, and problem was still there. It seems to me that the remote continuously communicates over Bluetooth, which consumes the Bluetooth bandwidth. Seems like manufacturer (Google) can fix that by having the remote enter a sleep mode if no buttons are pressed for a period of time.

This reminds me of the Firestick cube... Only a lot cheaper.
-
So far its really good!
-
Love it.

I have the previous gen. So I'm not sure if this is worth the upgrade. I know, extra gb of ram and more storage but does the 4k look that good? And I wish they had a legit way to multitask or switch between apps like and phones.

My old tv box had a mouse button, that was awesome for browsing
-
Thanks for sharing this information I was about to get one of their warranties but now I won't.

Me. I'm watching Paramount plus I'm a big Star Trek fan for one thing. Plus there are other things I like on there.

Myself and others have experienced that the regular CBS app (not the news or sports ones) will install but not show up on the ribbon/home page of the box. It does show up when you go into the settings. Any others out there who have experienced this?
