I was more emotionally attached to that Sand Knight than anyone in the last StarWars movie
  • A sand man defends a sand castle. Is the castle made of flesh, or is he made of castle? He screams, for he does not know.
  • Imagine: "Mom, I built a sandcastle!" "Oh how fun dear! Can I see...wait what the heck?"

i come back about six years later and this is still moving and emotion filled, I hope those who worked on this found success and are doing well

Everything was fine until the water nation attacked
  • This honestly would make a great video game concept You play as the sand soldiers and can pull from the sand and combine into various war machines from medieval times. With shells as armor. Various forms of sea life being the antagonist You could do local split screen and online play where players could combine into single forms they both control. A wordless story Call the game Sands of Time The overall plot being that nothing lasts forever, and no matter how hard you fight and the battles you win, eventually everything is wiped away by the sea, however depending on how dark you like your stories, the end could be happyish: the sand soldiers come back after the wave comes, and it's rebuilt again over and over. Pros: effectively only one decal is needed for most of the assets as most are made of the same material. A wordless take on the story would mean less work and people all in all. Everything that isn't sand gets to be really detailed Cons: since no dialogue, the game would need VERY good choreography The shadow simulation would need to be SUBURB since most of the game would be the same textures, shadows would be one of the only ways to see finer details.
  • It’s really emotional especially when the guys almost dies and then just manages to stun the crab and STILL holds his ground. He’s fighting a losing battle with more courage than ever
  • A Great Leviathan comes for you and yours, and you sacrifice your agency, your identity, with no promise of victory. Those two were goated.

I really want the people who made this to make a fully-fledged movie. This was amazing. Loved the art at the credits as well.

Nothing better than living in a castle made from your own flesh
  • For anyone who’s played WorldBox, this is what the villagers must’ve felt about those giant crabs.

When we were kids our imaginations ran wild while playing, no matter where it was. Great video 👍👍

This is truly a wonderful animation. The way this epic battle is portrayed, how it builds up to this massively decisive moment, just for a wave to come crashing down. It truly is a work of art, showing how far one's childish imagination can take them on adventures such as this one.

Even the musical score is amazing. Deym

No matter if he is sand or stone he watched he's brothers die but he didn't give up and protected the pearl with all the power he had
  • @MrNoLen5
6 years and the animation is way better that what Disney is doing. Amazing.
