  • The reason these demo kicks exist is the same reason the military throws and twirls rifles. Not to show off, but if you can't drop your gun, or in this case fall, while doing multiple spins in the air then you will never fall when do simpler and more practical kicks

”I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” - Bruce Lee
  • Here’s a quote I learned especially came true to my taekwando practice “If it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you” My teacher said give it ur best these guys are doing things that they can easily do but do something that challenge you One thing I struggled in taekwando was the bullet ant kick I tried to do it in a rapid succession but failed and I’m still practicing
  • Performing requires athleticism and high concentrations in other to avoid mistakes that could lead to fatal injuries. So in a way, by practicing and rehearsing these performances, they're also hardening their reflexes, skilled, and maintaining a healthy body system for good athleticism. So martial arts are more than just fighting, there's a beauty in martial arts that a lot of us are missing.

they really said "i believe I can fly" 👏👏👏
  • I miss doing Taekwondo, did it for 9 yrs, then I quit, kinda regret doing that, love to get back into it, still remember moves and some patterns.
  • Please don't come here to comment on how these kicks aren't practical in a fight. You do realize TKD is a martial 'ART' right?
  • @ashzty
And here is me who can't even kill a mosquito
  • Al lot of the people here just want to fight, they dont respect the Martial arts they just want fight and they need to know that the martial arts needs a respect, if you practice an martial art you should never look for trouble And obviously nobody use jump techniques in a real fight 1 basic kick ready since because taekwondo kicks are very dangerous

These are “demonstrations” they are demonstrating and showing various kicks. It’s called martial arts. It’s for defending yourself, while at the same time demonstrating kicks. Never use it against people to brag or start fights
  • @DR.MASAADI
Taekwondo teaches discipline as a nobel martial art. Taekwondo practitioners know where and when exactly they need to use what they have learned in real life. The rest is just reflecting on the personality and confidence to face life and adapt to every possible situation.

And we have me who can barely just 10 inches in the air without falling or Tripping

Back in the early 2000s I got my black belt in tae kwon do. Believe me... these guys can do unreal kicks. I never reached that level because I was still a kid at the time but our demo team was one of the best in the state.

I'm starting Taekwondo in a few weeks, at 15 years old, and so I am watching videos for the ideas of it and so far it seems very fun. I know I'll be beginner, but I can't wait to do THIS kind of stuff! The only thing I'm worried about is my ankle, because I did sprain it a couple weeks ago from jumping over a fence haha. And my ankle still kinda hurts.
