Sounds like my experience. Japan is a wonderful country.

Well done and welcome to solo travel! I've done 70 countries as a solo traveler and the skills and life lessons that I learnt throughout my journey has changed me and my perception of the world. Hope you experience the same :-)

Just wanted to let you know man, your video got recommended to me randomly. I don’t know your channel but this experience… reminds me exactly of my first time abroad which also happened to be in Japan. My first trip to Japan changed my entire life and outlook on my future goals. This ended up propelling me to move to Japan in 2022 for about a year and three months, and it truly has changed everything. My goal was to live in Japan forever after graduating language school, but it didn’t work out. My dream felt crushed when I went home to the US. My goal now is to complete college and move back. Your story really took me back to that magical experience of being in Japan for the first time and how much growth I experienced about myself. Whatever your goals in life, don’t stop chasing them, they are what keep us alive! 頑張って!

Two thumbs up for going alone!!!

Nice, man! I can't wait for the next part. I've been trying to find an opportunity to go to Japan for some time now and this might be just the inspiration that I need to finally just go for it.

This video was so fun to watch! Awesome editing and storytelling, woulda thought you had 36,000 views, not 36!!! Keep it up and thank you for sharing ☺️

Very nice video! Its great that you share openly your feelings and insights.

The algorithm is doing its job, and I enjoyed this video. I loved seeing the vulnerability with which you struggled, but you also need to ask for help as you do. Being humble, noticing your ignorance but the willingness to build on your knowledge. You did really well learning Japanese and having the courage to actually communicate in it (even if it wasn't perfect—which is my issue even though I'm intermediate). I can't wait to see this series, and I will be subscribing! On an additional note, you looked really cold! Sir get a scarf!

Great video man, will be keeping an eye for the next part.

Great vlog! Went to Tokyo for the first time with friends in Dec 2023 and might be going solo later this year. I can relate to a lot of these situations haha. Cheers!

That's an amazing adventure. Going to a country where English isnt the first language is a challenge but a great experience. Looking forward to your next videos! Cheers!

Despite a few setbacks, looks like you did pretty good.

This is cool! I’ve visited countries that English wasn’t the first language, it’s terrifying but a unique experience
