  • The Theragun is fantastic for golfers. Couldn’t believe how much it helps! 💯
  • Matt is just such a grinder even through all the pain. We all love you and if you are ever hurting to much we are all fine with you taking a break. Love you Matt ❤❤
  • @Roryog
Loads of these exercises are great for golfers to get into, even if you're older or less athletic than dear Schartty here. Worth doing regularly even if you only have a few minutes

Despite the fact that I obviously wish you didn't have to deal with all this, the message of this series is so good for people to be exposed to more. None of my friends stretch and it's crazy... because of my dodgy back I do yoga every day and no matter how much I recommend it they just can't be bothered to take that 30 minutes out of their day. But it's so so important and I wish it was more widely talked about. Young dudes are getting some really good advice from this series Matt, thanks for sharing your journey 💚
  • I work in surgery and an RF is not major but is surgery and a good way for pain management especially with grinding the way you are on exercises love to see it brotha
  • I had these same issues. The reverse hyper eventually is what healed my back and sciatic nerve.
  • I dealt with really bad sciatica from Wrestling in college. It ultimately ended my Wrestling career and at one point it got so bad the only thing I could do to relieve the pain was to limp around constantly. I didn't sleep for 3 days because laying down hurt so much and ended up having to go to the emergency room where I was prescribed large doses of narcotics. It's now about two years after and although I am not 100 percent it is so much better then it was thanks to countless hours of rehab and being patient with my body and letting it heal itself. Although I still can't return to Wrestling, I am now able to live an active lifestyle again. Just want to let you know I get the feeling you're going through. I know it's really hard, and at times straight depressing to feel like your being robbed of your ability to do something you truly love. Hope you see this just so you know I have been where your at and it will get better. Best wishes with your recovery.
  • Hip Cars have done me wonders along with the elevated pigeon pose with my leg in a 90 degree and perpendicular with the bench. I've suffered from back and hip pain for 5 years and these cured me. Best of luck with your recovery.
  • Matt keep it up. I went through this with my neck and currently going through it with my lumbar. In my experience, all golfers should do these exercises even if you are not injured.
  • You should look into DDP yoga. He designed it for himself I believe after breaking his back and it's for people with bad backs or mobility.
  • @echenozz
keep working my guy. you'd be surprised how many kids look up to you, including myself. keep it up!
  • Matt I’ll bite the bullet and volunteer to be your new match series… someone has to do it
  • @jeffl2483
Wonder if you've looked into QL (quadratus lumborum) at all. I suffered debilitating back pain for months and months last summer, and it turned out I had a knot DEEP in my QL. Lots of stretching, lacrosse ball rolling, and it finally loosened. That along with hip flexor and hamstring work all combined to work wonders for me. No amount of stretching or rehab work I did helped until I address the underlying issue of the impingement in the muscle.
  • Man it's good to see you doing this stuff. Your certainly ticking all the boxes with the exercises. Hope your surgery goes well man.
  • @81clarky
This type of video is so useful- I had a bulging disc last year and haven’t played for 6 months. I am doing all those stretches and this has given me renewed hope of getting back playing soon. Keep grinding!!
  • @brenmcf
Keep posting Matt, it's a good guide to see how you're progressing ❤ Love the vids and the honesty in them
  • I live in Cedar Creek, I am down for a match anywhere in KC! Let’s Gooooo!
