The sphere really made the draft much more of a spectacle.
  • @deuceb8472
Big mistake if they get rid of the in person draft format; it's unique to the NHL now and extremely special.
  • I like this format better. More information in shorter amount of time . Thank you!
  • @wbj2000
Great to see the Utah team make moves to turn that franchise around.
  • I thought it was a pretty fun draft, I’d go to one for sure. Hope they keep doing it

Dear Elliotte, I LOVED this podcast. You're the best. Thank you!!

Every draft should be held there exactly as it was this year! And the League should pay for it just like they do the ASG. This was a masterful event for the league and easily their best draft ever!

What’s up boys? It’s been 11 days since the last upload, prior to that every upload was every 3-4 days…?
  • @backwoodbarry
Flames killed it at a draft 🔥🔥🔥🔥 finally 🙏🔥😂🔥🔥🔥 Parekh future Norris winner
  • When exactly did we start ending our sentences with a question mark??? And who started it???? Man that's annoying.

Ryan Smith said it’s his natural instinct to be impatient, not that he’s not going to be impatient. He’s a different type of owner… because he lets his people do what they need to do. Bad take from the interview. He said that he has Chris Armstrong to keep him from doing the wrong things because he’s wanting everything right now.

Habs fans so happy about their #1 pick because it was a choice they liked. Loved it myself and I get it but this trend of fans getting angry over a pick they have researched on YouTube and therefore are experts on it is getting old. Think about Sam Pollock drafting Bob Gainey in this day and age. There would be meltdowns until he resigned. Let the management team do their work, they know a little more about 18 year-old prospects than most people online.

I wonder if you guys recognize that when you are together you are far more than the sum of your already excellent selves.  Do not misunderstand, E. Friedman is my fav. Did that make sense?
  • @CapsBrotha
Tampa losing Stamkos & Sergachev while gaining Ryan McDonaugh & Guentzel absolutely does not make them any better, if anything it makes them even lesser.
  • @AdamWhiteside
Elliotte is the best sports news journalist/insider no doubt.
  • @montanak833
I know its New York so this would probably never happen but will players not look at the Rangers with some side eye if they waiver wire two players with no moves who didnt want to move?
  • @Not_Lenny88
Yay! No Marek to interrupt or practice his Ron impression.
  • I'm curious about the comment about Forida being a no tax state. Does that mean, if (and I'll use Stamkos as an example) Stamkos annual salary is 8 million a year he gets all 8 versus say someplace like say Vancouver where he's likely to lose 50% to the taxman?
