Owner of the trackhawk here, thanks for having me out Sam! That x5m was definitely a beast and I knew it would be a good race. A few weeks prior when we raced in the dark, I took it from the dig but it always seemed to catch up. Regardless, some great times out there. 🙌SVR is a beauty too.

Guess the Range rover was a comfortable seat to watch a vigorous monsters battle

What a blast we had. Kyle, Noah and Sam, always a pleasure. Owner of the X5 here. Car is not tuned or chipped. Traction control was never fully off, but in 2 of the 3 races, I did switch into MDM which allows for more wheel slip and drift angle. The first and final race the traction was fully on. (X5 took 2 of the 3 races, the difference being that I didn’t show Sam the “setup” button which lets you toggle sport plus engine mode, so he raced with the car in comfort mode). X5 is underrated from the factory, there’s no way it’s only making 617 hp 🤷🏻‍♂️ That Trackhawk is a beast though. It launches and puts like a car+ easily on the x5 before it gets reeled in.

The X5M is a pure beast. The ultimate driving machine

the trackhawks are crazy off the line with the Supercharged torque. the X5M is definitely faster on the top end

Excellent race! The sound of the 3 crossing the finish line was pure music! No need to make excuses between the TH and the X5M, there's probably only a .2 difference at best at the finish line. They are sure to trade leads back and forth given optimum conditions, RT and launches.

bmw just never quits. they're always top of the game

Was definitely not expecting the x5m to put up that well against the trackhawk, its mindblowing

Why run with traction control on? The best performance for the Trackhawk in in Track mode with takes “traction control” off but leaves stability on. Probably why it looks like a short shift since traction control is dialing the power back on the shift. Run them each in their optimal modes if you want to be fair.

Dodge has one of the best launch systems ever But like I said a while ago, that X5M is a monster and hp is underrated
  • I’ve been waiting for this race. Also the track hawk and srt are my favorite mopars by far

When the X5 lost the first one in sport mode, I was thinking 🤦🏽‍♂️ Then when the owner ran it Sport Plus , D3 and launched I was like 😁

My dream vehicle is a Range Rover. A full size Range Rover and for that reason alone I'd choose the Range Rover Sport SVR just to be in the Land Rover brand
  • i’ve driven a few svr’s and they are pretty dang quick so to think of how fast the track hawk and the X5 are is just crazy
  • @Man-hattan
I own an X5 competition, it’s fast and fun driving it in full sports mode. But the trackhawk has my respects, what a beast too.

Proud to see my dream suv x5m perform like that 🙏🏼🙏🏼 great race

Trackhawk looked like it shortshifted during the 2nd race, I think it would have been a similar result as to the first, maybe the X5 catching it much closer to the end or perhaps just edging it out. Regardless, that shortshift should have warranted another round :(
