A brand new original song based on Alastor the Radio Demon, featuring originally created backing music, sound design, voice acted story and artwork.

This one has been a long time coming after quite a wait, so what better way to kick of 2022 with some new original music of everyone's favourite deal maker? That theme was the central idea behind creating this song, to explore more of what Alastor became known for before he introduced himself to the rest of the hotel's occupants.

With Vaggie's mention of Alastor being known to others as a deal maker in the pilot episode, I created the story and general setup of this song to reflect that where Alastor tempts unsuspecting sinners (who specifically aren't aware of his reputation) into taking his offers because of what he can do, all while insisting on them to grit their teeth and bear with the consequences. Husk's appearance in the this song is also a possible interpretation of how the pair of them worked together, acting as reinforcement to make sure their targets "sign up".

The instrumentation is also my attempt to make a more polished sound for Alastor compared to my previous attempts at song making for him. I utilised a ton of brand new brass libraries to really sell the big band and jazz sound, while also using a lot of synthetic elements and sound processing to really highlight how Alastor's supernatural powers and threat contrast with how old-timey and high spirited his music/radio aesthetic is.

Finally, another gigantic thank you in order for DarlingKazoodle for providing such hauntingly awesome artwork for the cover art. After their previous work helping me with the Lucifer project a while back, their idea for Alastor to be stretching his smile unnaturally wide as his way of insisting upon the song's message was just so accurate to what I was hoping for. Please visit all of their social details below and support them in every way you can!

  • It’s funny that when he’s says “who are you?” Alastor instantly knows that he’s new because everyone knows who Alastor is
  • @Pop-ms9zf
Love how Alastor is so well-recognized that he knows if you don’t know who he is, you’ve only come down recently
  • This describes his character perfectly, he’s a sadistic salesman who enjoys a good show. He knows everyone is desperate at some point and knows where to strike. His like what if a Disney villain became R rated. Jolly good show!
  • @RTOmega
"Everything is better using a song dontcha thing?" - Every Disney Villain
  • Knowing that Alastor himself most likely got his own power from a deal makes him recommending others to just smile and grit their teeth have a whole new meaning
  • All this stuff came about when there was literally only a pilot and it took us all about 5 minutes of screen time to become obsessed with this glorious freak
  • @nickgrey1279
My mans out here CARRYING the hazbin hotel fandom on his shoulders. The original songs, the comic dubs, he's out here doing gods work. (I am aware how ironic that is🤣)
  • This honesty feels like an organic part of the show. It just fits so well, and makes you think: “yes, I’m gonna enjoy this.” It’s, Muah! chef’s kiss.
  • @Mmelodramatic
“So… it’s a deal then?” That’s such a good way to end this master piece and the fact that’s actually a line in Hazbin Hotel is amazing 😭
  • 3:02 Alastor's "tick, tick, tick" is such a great part! The background noise is INCREDIBLE
  • @veerigo
is nobody talking about how good husker’s vocals were? those little snarls were perfect
  • @LightSoul-8
I'd like to imagine that when Alastor says "So roll the dice and see if you could be it!", the scene cuts to a casino, with Alastor rolling three dice, all of which land on sixes.
  • @eldiospalomo2334
Now with hazbkn hotel finally out, rhis song is even better, we learn that alastor actually did eliminated hells greatest evils, and he won husks soul in a casino, where there are dices
  • @Kokoro-Chan_
Alastor: Not a case of what you know, but who Husk: Aw shit, here we go. I feel you buddy, i feel you.
  • @levistuse3363
“Forget the rigmarole and you can have it all” This little detail is great, Alastor asking this unsuspecting person to just sign a deal without reading
  • If the singing voice of Al is being replaced for the official series (to the community’s disdain) I’m voting for this guy, because dammit, this is pure Alastor!
  • @BEEGTHEBEEG
I love how Husk is just like "bruv you ain't gonna win, just give in."
  • @ozfifer7392
New head cannon, this is the song Alastor uses to "help" a newly fallen Adam.
