I decided that 2020 would be the year that I take control of my finances. I make a good wage but haven't saved what I feel I should have over the years. I started tracking my spending late 2019 to see where I could save. I am attempting a low buy/no buy especially on crafting and planning supplies. I have a craft room full that needs used up. Although the year has just started, I feel so motivated that I really feel it will be a success (fingers crossed). Good luck on all your goals, I'll definitely be following along!

Chloe, I think you are smart by setting financial goals for yourself. My daughter just started working last spring and she has been tracking her spending in order to cut what she doesn’t really need. As for me, I have started a no buying scrapbooking supplies period until I make a good dent in what I have already. I am having to be honest with myself in what I can realistically use. One of my goals is to make progress on decluttering the house. It becomes very clear that a lot of stuff is just that - stuff. Jeannine
  • Budget is my word of the year! I really want to get some debt paid down and start saving more and spending less! Also....I have multiple sclerosis... ya know a chronic invisible illness...and I too struggle with feeling useless! It sucks that our bodies are so unpredictable and heinous that we cant even sometimes do the most basic of things! Im on disablity and I applaud the fact that you still work with your illness... I did work for years and had to quit or got fired because of symptoms of my MS because I didnt know thats what I had ! Other than budget for this year I really want to make working on my self esteem and how my disease affects! All I can say right now is....dont give up on yourself...dont be too hard on yourself... The disease is something you cant control but the way you let it affect you is something you can control.. Thats what Im trying to to teach myself now! Goood luck on your 2020 Journey! I will definitely be keeping up with your vlog! Much love!

I too need to save lots of money. Check out 'The Budget Mom'. She has lots of different useful ways to save money. How about a cash envelope system? So excited for you for the wedding. :O you could play the violin at your wedding as a suprise for Will ..

Chloe, have you thought of tutoring? You can choose the amount of students you take on and it is good money. I'm a teacher and I think you'd be good at it. I'm on a fixed spend this year. I have implented a cash envelope system and I am tracking everything I spend. I'm finding the hardest thing is books. I had said no books because of the amount of unread books I have. However, i'm already struggling with that (pathetic, I know) and so any books I buy will have to come out of the allowance I give myself every month. Good luck with you plans this year🙂
  • Oh wow I played the Cello and played in an orchestra onstage at DeMontfort hall in our city it was daunting as a kid but I did pads my exams too I stopped in college and I miss it too I have decided to use my library more this year and not buy books as I have stacks now and I can't move around my room easily so going to donate some to charity enjoy Disney and your wedding! 💖😄

  • Sorry to hear how Archie was so traumatized at that awful groomers! Nails can be a real problem with dogs and I hope you manage to reassure him! Managing money is a real stress for most people these days but Im sure you will achieve your monetary goals xx
