***Note: Apologies for the audio glitch during the first minute. A small part of the recorded audio was lost.

Welcome! I have a PhD in Biochemistry from Boston University School of Medicine. Today, I talked to Patrick about his real-life experience and story where his CAC score was 985, then he had some issues with infection and his CAC score increased to 1,908, then he shifted to a carnivore diet and his CAC score went down to 1,394. I've heard many stories like this over the years and I'm planning to start documenting them. And I've NEVER heard someone say they reversed their artery plaque with statins. Many thanks to Patrick for sharing his story, purely out of generosity and kindness!!!

This is very inspiring because after looking and feeling healthy for 60 years, last year I had a TIA, and a few months later I learned I had significant CAD, resulting in 2 stents. I have very high LDL with good HDL and Trig numbers. Before I had the health issues it was easy to scoff at statins. Now I've had to go back and take a closer look at them and I still want nothing to do with them, but I'm not equipped to debate my cardiologist. It's painful to ask for his help to "unclog" my arteries while rejecting the recommended prescriptions. Videos like this help me refine my diet and other lifestyle changes to improve my health without a plethora of medications. Thank you both for doing this.

Thanks for straight talk, not dragging info out for an hour or 2. We're all busy nowadays. Very interesting interview on several fronts. Thanks
  • Thanks for the video. I guess I shouldn't be surprised did this goes 180 ° against the understanding of the crooked and corrupt medical establishment.

The Dr J book is key to helping to reduce the exposure to these ubiquitous toxins. You feel better. Getting on the nitric oxide diet is key too. If you have high blood pressure quit mouth wash for 3 days and see what happens. You dont want to kill all the bacteria in your mouth that makes the nitric oxide to relax your arteries. Anyone on ant-acids and using mouthwash is at a huge risk for heart attack.

Talking about inflammation.... Over the past four or five years I had something going on in my chest that came and went. My upper chest felt full and a dry cough wouldn't clear it, and sometimes slight wheezing also had me concerned. It would come and go so I never went to a doctor about it, but I finally got fed up and was prescribed a skin patch that is effective for asthma and it helped, but after a few days of not using it, the problem would gradually return. I went on a keto diet with carbs as low as I possibly could do, and the chest malady, whatever it was, almost immediately disappeared, and so good so far. Happy!

I am inspired. If mine went down 600 points I'd barely have any calcium! I'm working on it!

Per Google: The CAC-DRS categories of 0–3 were defined to correspond with the traditional Agatston score categories of 0 (very low risk), 1–99 (mild CAC, mildly increased risk), 100–299 (moderate CAC, moderately increased risk), and higher than 300 (moderately to severely increased risk) (45).

P.s. i sent out a reference to your channel today on the pinball preparedness channel. He is a prepper channel i watch and he recently went carnivore and is doing amazing.

Great insights on the significant benefits of low carb/keto/carnivore + D3+k2 for cardiac health, plaque + serum calcium correction. Thank you both 👏👏👌

Amazing discussion. As usually doc your videos are of a great benefit for us! Thanks

Thanks Dr. Jay - recently found your channel. I am very happy for Patrick and like you have heard of others reducing their plaque burden through diet, supplements, and lifestyle modification.
  • This is great information. Thank you. I have been on a low carb journey for the last 4 years and have made nice progress but certainly not where I would like to be yet. I have watched my CAC continue to rise over the last 4 years which is a bit concerning at my age of about 60. While I see the value in this information, I still find this all so confusing since everyone's body reacts differently to this whole process. Some people see great results while others not so much and it's hard to determine why. My doctor's are old school which is not helpful. They dismiss most of this approach of low carb/keto/carnivore but I'm questioning it all since so many people treated by current practices still age poorly with high risk. I'm learning and it's a process but thank you for sharing this perspective. You're doing great work and if this truly is the path to improving overall health and longevity, it simply needs to get more traction in the world, especially in the medical community. Thank you again.

Thank you guys for your time and knowledge! I am going to the doc in a few days after alot of positive lifestyle changes and looking forward to it. I dont have time now to listen to the rest but will for sure listen soon.

I like your informational videos and please do more interviews.
  • Thanks Dr Jay for this interview. Its always great to see some success stories! Maybe you can clear something up in your next video, I’m hearing mixed information about increases in calcium score after switching to a keto/carnivore diet. Some say that the increase is due to the stabilizing of the soft plaque, others say it increases because there is still inflammation. What say you?

I would also add that in addition to D3 and K2, withberberine, that natto could also play a vital role.
  • @SSrominRuby
Thank you, Dr. Jay I appreciate all your work

This interview was really valuable to me. I am a 62-year-old white male. I currently weigh 199 pounds and I’m 5‘11“ tall. I have been on carnivore for eight months. I have also been taking D3 with K2 for the last eight months. I just started CoQ10 this month. My CAC score last year was 66. I have only one artery affected. All of the other coronary arteries are at zero. My hope is that over the next year. I can reduce that one artery that is at 66 back down to a zero again. My cardiologist wanted to place me on a statin drug last year, but I told him “Hell, No!” If I am successful in reducing the plaque in that one artery back down to zero or a number near zero, I look forward to going back to that cardiologist and showing him what I did. I think it is important for all of us to try to educate the doctors that treat us for our health conditions. Otherwise, they are never going to learn the truth. If the only people the docs listen to are the Big Medical Associations, and Big Pharma, and Big Agra, and big government, etc, then they will continue to serve their patients very poorly.
