Anyone else stumble across this channel and just stayed because he just seems like a genuinely good dude🤷‍♂️…not too mention that looks amazing
  • My wife and I had a date breakfast every Saturday morning at this terrific little cafe. This date was an every week event. The restaurant offered what they called Stuffed Hash Browns. It was my favorite, and without fail, I ordered Stuffed Hash Browns. The owner had a heart attack and unfortunately passed away. Several cooks took over the cafe and changed the menu. They stopped offering Stuffed Hash Browns. I was done, and we stopped going to that cafe. You have taught me how to make the Stuffed Hash browns. I wish I had found this long ago, but I will get my grill hot and make my own stuffed Hash Browns. Thank you, they look delicious.

Hash Browns have to be my all time favorite breakfast food, along with eggs and cheese. This video taught me how to make the best stuffed Hash Browns in the world! You did an unbelievable job of making this simple and delicious. Thank you for the great job you did. 👍

Instead of going thru lots of paper towels, I use rolls of microfiber cloth towels. They're washable for about 40 to 50 re-uses and they soak up a LOT more oil/grease/water than paper towels.
  • I followed your recipe exactly. Used chorizo instead of ham, green onion instead of bell pepper. My husband and brother said “this is in the legendary category.” And they said it’s the best omelette they’ve ever had. Thanks for sharing!!

I'm another line cook with many hours over a flattop, I can think of a lot of variations for this but it doesn't really need them. It depends on what ingredients you have, what equipment you have, what you feel like making and your confidence in your skills. Don't be afraid to experiment. This would be awesome on a biscuit or waffle smothered in bacon or sausage gravy. One professional cook to another, you got mad skills. ✊👍✌️🖖

My grandmother use to make these for us back in the 60’s 🤙🏼

I've always wanted a full-size griddle in my home since I started working in kitchens... Super-jealous of your set-up! Just a couple notes: 1) PLEASE cross-section the final product!!! Everyone wants to see what it looks like in the center. 🤗🤤 2) Yeah, definitely let them rest until they're just about done steaming off their own heat. That should let the eggs cook through completely too, due to residual heat! 🥵
  • Came across this video this morning after my husband left for work. This is what I made him for lunch and he loved it. Awesome channel. Thanks much!

I can totally relate to your story. I was new in the food industry and was will to work my way up the chain starting as a dishwasher and helped prep food. one Friday night I walked in and the Chef called me on to the line. the flat top/ fry cook had bailed lol and I got my 1st shot. it was a sink or swim situation and I managed to stay a float lol. after that I became the friday/weekend fry cook and eventually worked my way to sauté/grill station, and eventually managing that kitchen.
  • I too was a dishwasher/bus boy.. at my younger days in the 70s, short handed they taught me how to make triple stacked BLTs for a sunday crowd.. practice makes perfect. Its 2023 and still bust out some awesomeness BLTs for the family.. i will learn how to create the hashbrown omelets for sure! They look tremendous... although i am from NM, ill use green chili, and mushrooms with gouda cheese because i was raised in the great pacific northwest (Wa.) so ill combine his way 1st and then my 2 home state flavors to add onto his creation. Dang yum! Thanks dude! You have some Canadian flare in your talk..
  • Made this amazing dish for dinner tonight and it was a HUGE hit. I used frozen hash browns I let thaw a bit before griddling them and they worked perfectly. Used green onions because we were out of sweet to go with the peppers. I will be making this again very soon. Fun to make and super delicious! And your video rocks.
  • @amrogers4
Most of us who love omelettes probably always have hashbrowns on the side. Why in the world did it never occur to us to combine them?! Genius! Giving this a go this weekend <3
  • @JoanOH
We have “Breakfast for Dinner” every Sunday night and this is definitely going on next week’s menu plan!

My recent griddle research got me here. Everything about this video is great. The production, food, personality, decor (Mr. Prine being there means you must be a good, cool dude)

What a pleasant surprise to find this guy just enjoying his cooking and producing what looks to be a great breakfast. Excellent manner of describing what was going on. I don't think I'll ever cook that many but sure going to give a small batch a try. Thank you True North.
  • @ocrun6765

  • @DistrictFire
I cooked 13 omelettes at a time on a similar griddle in a firehouse for over 30 years and never thought of that twist. You would've been THE SHIT (a good thing)there! Can't wait to try this!!!
  • @blinko656
