The Porcupine Tree and Haken riffs are just perfect
  • Can't tell you how happy I am that you included Dark Eternal Night. I feel like that song gets overlooked by a lot of folks.
  • @tonykuriger573
Not only is the Haken riff criminally underrated, Haken is surely the most criminally underrated band in progressive metal. Every album is a masterpiece.
  • @meepacheep7186
that opening to dark eternal night is one of my favourite riffs ever, its constantly stuck in my head, same with red light in my eyes part 1 that whole first COB album is underrated as hell
  • @Adam1349
Massive respect for playing Summoning and Porcupine Tree.
  • @Iser1999
tbh opeth in general are outstanding at making riffs. I was also fascinated at how they use all sorts of weird chords instead of powerchords. and they also have an interesting way of making leads and harmonies. really good stuff. for bodom I love all their catalogue despite the fact that some people say the last ones were kinda eh. I love Alexi's riffage and soloing. RIP Legend.

Thanks Bradley for using my heavy fella, the II II II II on this list & for partnering up 🔥🔥🔥 To those watching, I say one thing: demo it in your room free 14 days. It will hit you like nothing else 😎

Alexi wrote so many amazing riffs throughout the Bodom discography, and Red Light Is definitely a great pick. If I'm thinking great deep cut riffs for them, even though the first 3 albums are usually my go-tos, one of the first that comes to mind is Hold Your Tongue from I Worship Chaos.

Appreciate the Megadeth shoutout! Another one of theirs that I think is horrifically underrated you've also played recently. The outro section of Rust In Peace...Polaris is absolutely killer. Props on that whole album btw, you shredded that
  • The first ascending and then decending Main-Verse-Riff of Nevermore's "Born" is another criminally underrated MASTERPIECE.
  • @clockworker
Soilwork - Structure Divine Dark Tranquillity - Rundown Mors Principium Est - Reclaim the Sun / Altered State of Consciousness Darkane - Layers of Lies Morbid Angel - Dawn of Angry Opeth - Bleak Mors Principium Est is generally underrated, so many great riffs, Soilwork's first three albums are rife with greatness in that regard as well.

Frayed ends of sanity riff before solo in Metallica That’s riff rips through my ears and is an eargasm
  • @onetakehoovie5955
Teras by Sylosis has been my main warm riff for about 10 years now. Great to hear it is still well respected
  • @iamchizzle
That’s so sick you included CKY! I’ve always loved the riffs in: Nuclear Assault - Critical Mass Coma - Overkill
  • @MusicOfDreamweaver
I find "Sea of Madness" by Iron Maiden underrated. Few, if any, mention this track when talking about Iron Maiden and it is an amazing riff!
  • @BradleyHallGuitar
What do you guys think of my picks? What would YOU have included??
  • @Chris-Ian
Necrophagist have many underrated great riffs - the delayed riff before (and after) the solo of Culinary Hyperversity, the riff after the solo of Ignominious and Pale (underneath the harmonies), the end riff of Diminished to B (easiest Necro riff, still cool), Epitaph's riff before the solo (so sluggish) to name a few.

1:58 Thank you so much for introducing me to the Summoning. I fell in love with a completely new genre 🤘
