I Got WHAT Exotic From The Dark Zone?! | The Division 2

I did a DZ run the other day to collect the electronic devices, and only came across one player. I didn’t engage in any combat, was just running to the collectibles.

As a solo player in DZ and very bad at PvP, i develop some strategies that allow me to extract stuff without been attack and lose the loot. DZ tips for solo player, PvP noob: - use a secondary char only for DZ, with PvP builds [see down why] - have at least 3 essential DZ builds: 1. armor regen, 2.DPS [striker with full armor will do] , 3. 100% pulse and hazard resistance - stick with the edges of the map, never venture inside map, middle, this way at least from the back you can't be attack...you only have 3 directions to focus your attention - stay away from hot -spots PVP fights, like main gates and some close to main gate landmarks hot spots for PvP killings - always from time to time, get behind cover and check the "social " to see if there are close agents - avoid if you can to jump high fences/walls. you are stuck in animation and easy target - move from options/settings, the minimap to the central - down screen [near your char], this way you always have a vision awareness...by default been up make you distracted and you will not see the red dot closing on you...hense the rogue killing you from nowhere - if you have an exotic to extract chose an extraction spot that is close to a CP, so you can retreat there if rgues are coming, or players in close area - if there are players close, or too many fights in that zone, get your character in the CP and let it there till later hours, or next day when zone will be chill and you can extract [that's why 2 characters, let the DZ one wait...and go to the other char and enjoy the PvE] - do not travel in between CPs with the loot, YOU WILL LOSE IT....let your char wait/dormant with the loot in the first CP you retreat, game will save your loot...and next day you still have it there - use a pulse resistance build, and use scanner pulse...this way they can't see you but you can spot them all - avoid to let other player get close to you - stay away from friendly gestures / behavior players [i did get in team with strangers that where at same SHD as me, or lower, and they where using a mic+headset so i could notice from the way they talk that are not back-stabbing filthy rogue persons ] - never write in general chat or talk in zone mic about what you found and what you need to extract, if you are with a friend use Discord or other side not in game communication. -depending of the build you use, always deploy your supporting skills before puting in the hook your loot [decoy is best to deistract NPCs, a healing hive if you have high tier skill like 4-5 will help you to be heal if someone is shooting when you put in hook the loot. Armor regen build: 1x Memento 3x Gila 2x Golan 1x Belstone The build is to just farm exotic fragments to run from one box to another at landmarks, as NPCs will shoot you but your armor will keep up...a rogue human full DPS will go tru your all regen armor/+ 2K armor like is paper -put armor on all pieces -because your all blue, use a high power weapon like AKM or RPK with technician get the spotter device and put Flatline on weapons, this way you get some good consistent dmg on targets DPS : Fenris chest [unbreakable ] Catharsis mask [ some use Memento, and is good to survive longer agains NPCs...but you lose a lot of dmg by not using the Striker set backpack] 4x Striker [all armor] Elmo + Banshee SMG or Ouroburos + Splinter Cell AR or Kingbraker [Technician +spoting device] + Lady Death if slap there a Defender drone, max expertise, and a healing hive...you may be a very annoying hard to kill target... i sugest using Techcnician for the skill tier point +1 and for Faraday Cage effect that will meake you imune to sjock ammo or jammer, if you drop first the hive on ground. You can cut also one armor core and have +1 tier skill more...making your skills at +3 a little more efficient than zero. Hazard resistance: 100% all elements 2x Ceska 3x Uzina 1x [your choice, i use Bellstone as is good to have a little armor regen] Pulse resistance : basic you put 3x Yaahl + 1x pulse resist mod, or if you use Ninja backpack you only need 2x Yaahl + 1x pulse resist mod Niche build = in my case as i use a sniper build DZ, i have 2x pieces Systems Corruption [+ Ninja bp] with headshot dmg and red core attribute....for my build this choice is better as SC also heal my armor on each kill. So if you have a dps using Ninja bp, and you have bad rolls with Yaahl, you can use 2x SC pieces. 100% resistance to all elements including Pulse: "Jack of all trades, master of none" as the build try to have armor regen, hazard protection, DPS, pulse resist...but nothing is perfect...LMAO 1x Ninja bp 1x Cavlier 2x Yaahl + 1x mod pulse resist 1x Ceska 1x Bellstone [Unbreakable ] Elmo + Banshee SMG This build suit well to "scary rabbits " that will not bee seen, and if they are spotted they can't be stagger/slow down or stopped with usual BS like shock ammo, fire ammo or foam. REMEBER: 1. for pulse resistance builds, you are invisible but ALL DEPLOY SKILLS ARE VISIBLE and can give away your position. Unless you want to play tricks on rogues, and drop your turret in a place and let them wonder around to search for you, in meantime you are on the other side of the map...lol 2. If you are hiding, keep your Decoy in hand [DO NOT THROW IT] THIS WILL HIDE YOUR NAME-PLATE IN CLOSE AREA....this is why some poepels got spotted with full pulse resist and said that is not working...name-plate apear and show their position. Sure there are also cheaters, that use wall hack and see you no matter the build or distance...more on PC than other consoles] These are the builds and tactics i am running in DZ, as a PvE player that is realy bad at PvP.. Most of the time i avoid fights as much as possible, i go there for farming and exploring other zones than the missions that i done over and over in 5 years. I never play Conflict and i do not intend....[if i want PvP a la COD style, i will just play COD Ghosts as is my favorite COD game from all ]

What I have noticed lately is when it is regular loot in the DZ locations the game servers will usually put solo DZ players with other solo players and two player groups with other duos for a more balanced experience, however when there is good targeted loot in a DZ zone, solo players are somehow bypassing or finding a work around to get multiple teamed up solo players on the solo players game server to overpower other single players and maximize their own chances. When this happens I suggest other players do exactly the same, which takes some time but really isn't that hard to do.

I remember hearing that exotics drops randomly after ever 1,000 kills.

Think exotics used to drop mostly if not only from bosses...but then they made them to drop from any NPC cause people would just run into landmarks, off the boss to get the "good loot" and extract leaving only non-named NPCs running around.

About a week ago i had a nightmare that i got the EB in the DZ and when i went to extract it someone stole it from me and i begged and begged for it back and i never got it 😭😂 i woke up , 3 hours later i joined a random LFG for dark hours raid and I GOT THE FUCKING EAGLE BEARER !! Talk about a crazy coincidence!! 2 days later i got the ouroboros !! Im pleased to say that i am content with my life now lol

I too did not go to the darkzone after the scouting missions. Im just not a pvp type of guy and I know that I would be very very very sad if I got what I wanted and someone stole it from me right after. To the point I wouldnt play the game for weeks and rant about the darkzone. Therefore I dont do it. But yeah, I can totally relate with the people saying that they have nobody to play the raids with and they dont want to play darkzone.

I managed to get both EB and ravenous in dz, and they both dropped from red npc.

I got one last night from a add, 3 with three other dudes in DZ East with Holsters as the targeted loot. We all were so shocked we ran in 3 different directions. We never teamed up and it took 30 minutes to extract. I'm still shocked

I can see the devs adding the EB into general loot. Like they did with the house back in div.1. Loved the gameplay!

I was in an empty DZ last night 7/29/23 from 8pm to about 3am, (TL-Mask). Went up 25 SHD levels clearing LM, 3 Pestilence and about 270 DZ resources. Lots of yhal gears thou.
