I was just thinking to myself, "Man I really wish there was a 3 hour long video explaining the lore of Mortal Kombat" and look what pops up on my feed.
  • Kronnika: Yes Raiden, I have brought back everyone who died in order to... Raiden: Yeah, yeah, cool. Uh, where's Stryker? Kronnika: He... uh... so anyway, I have brought back everyone who died...

The main reason Motaro was turned into a minotaur in Armageddon was that the team was having trouble animating a centaur. They mostly used motion capture for character animations and there are no real-world centaur actors to put in a motion suit. So they had a choice to make. Get rid of Motaro's hind legs or omit the character completely. And since the whole point of Armageddon was everyone is here they chose the former.
  • This Insane Lore series is honestly becoming an all-time classic on the channel, imagine if it ever got to something like Kingdom Hearts one day

In regards to how Sub-Zero turns back into a human at the start of MKX, it's revealed in the tie-in comic series. Which is weird, but whatever. Quan Chi decided one day that Subby would be more useful to him as a human, so he used his magic to blow up Cyber Sub-Zero and then reconstruct him into a humanoid body. And Kuai was fully conscious throughout the entire process, so that had to hurt like hell.

The Elder Gods of Mortal Kombat are like cops in a lifetime movie, always citing some technicality for why "their hands are tied" in stopping any of the villains but leaping into action whenever anyone breaks the rules on divine intervention to help Earthrealm.😅

The franchise went from a gory Street Fighter with an in-depth lore to using superhero tropes of retcons, time travels and multiverses.

Was wondering “Clement hasn’t uploaded in a while, hope he’s okay.” Then I get this in my notifications, quality over quantity. Gonna really enjoy this video.

The countless hours, researching, writing, editing and etc put into this video. I want to say THANK YOU! I want to show my true appreciation!
  • Crazy seeing a guy I watched play Cool World on SNES when I was 8 years old is still making content, even more wild that it's THIS quality. I hope this one blows up like the last two, you've earned it, my GOAT fr

Clement losing his mind towards the end of the MK1 lore is the perfect description for the absolute brain melt I was going through as I first played through it. XD

I really appreciate having footage from a match recreating what's going on in the lore. It's nice to look at and helps a lot to be visually engaging.

BY THE ELDER GODS! THE GREAT CLEMENT HAS DROPPED A NEW LORE VIDEO❤❤❤
  • Great vid! MKX is my favorite entry too - I've got a lot of affection for the new characters, and the super-fast gameplay is the most enjoyable to watch.
